So my friend just sold a logoman on Ebay out of Immaculate and needs to ship it to Hong Kong. The problem is he needs to put $5000 on insurance but so far the USPS and FedEx have told him they won't do that or that he needs all kinds of additional information. I was wondering if anyone here has experience with shipping high value stuf internationally and what the best way to do that would be. I think the important thing is to be able to ship secured and with insurance. Does anyone have any tips or information about this? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

i just talked to the po & paypal about sending a case of immaculate to hong kong, but i should be receiving the payment via gift so i dont have to worry about insurance or chargebacks & stuff like that, thankfully. so express mail international comes with tracking # apparently to the person's house, not just entering the country, the priority mail i think has tracking just to where it enters the country.
but i dunno what all would go into having to buy that much insurance for something internationally, maybe it cant be done. maybe have your friend put it in a much bigger bubble mailer with a lot of bubble wrap & stuff inside & then just send it the express method which has the full tracking, and hope that it doesnt get destroyed or lost along the way i guess. |
