Default A little love for Josh Gordon

Just thought Gordon deserved a little love for the season he is having (plus I'm bored at work) - pretty amazing what he has done after being suspended to start the year and having do play with the Weeden/Hoyer/Campbell QB platter. Not to mention that Greg Little sucks, Richardson sucks (and is of course gone), Bess has been just decent so there is really only Jordan Cameron to take any pressure off of him.

54 catches on 98 targets, 988 yards, and 5 TD's - in only 9 games - for 110 yards per game and 18 yards per catch. Extrapolated out that'd be pretty big numbers if he had played all year.

That puts him 3rd in the league in YPG and 3rd in YPC when you factor in the suspension - behind only Calvin and Julio Jones in YPG.

Pretty impressive company when you compare Stafford and Ryan to what the Browns send out there.

Anyway I'm sure someone will tell me Gordon only catches passes in garbage time, it doesn't matter because the Browns don't win, etc...and that's all fine and good...I'm not saying he's the best WR in Football. I just think it's pretty impressive what he's done considering his situation this year.

If he can lay off the sticky icky he's going to be a monster weapon when the Browns probably draft a QB this year.

Makes me wish I had picked up a few more NT RC Autos - the last few have gone like $30 - which is a steal if you ask me even though it's not an RPA

Was really hoping the Panthers were going to trade for him, he'd be deadly with Cam passing to him.

He saved my fantasy team. Him and Calvin Johnson are my one two punch.

Gordon is a stud. Hes proven he has all the talent to be a top tier wr. 5th in rec yds and thats with a 2 game suspension. If he can be consistent, I think hell be an elite wr for years to come. There arent many guys that have his combination of size and speed.

Gordon is awesome. He is getting Calvin Johnson type target numbers. I wish the Eagles would go after him, he would compliment Desean Jackson quite nicely.

Yes Brady Quinn sucked. Yes Brandon Weeden sucked.

Colt McCoy wasn't drafted to be the starter. No clue why he is always brought up (not saying you were mentioning him). Lots of teams use 3rd rounders and later on QB's even if they have drafted other QB's - but they definitely struck out on their last 2 1st round QB's.

Does this group with Banner know what they are doing? Remains to be seen - but odds are the Browns starting QB next year is going to be a draft pick so all jokes aside Gordon will get to work with a new QB next year.

Josh Gordon is the Browns' best player. I know you Haden and Jackson fans may not like that, but it is true. Had he played in the first two games, the Browns would have at least one more win. Drafted in the supplemental draft of 2013 (complicated reasons), he is better than any receiver in the main draft of last year. Add to that the fact that the running backs, including Richardson for a short while, have been below average and also that he has had to receive from three different quarterbacks before the even the midway point. This guy can be better than any established receiver currently playing today. Yes, that includes Calvin Johnson and A.J. Green (whom I like). I'll be back later to hear some of you argue on behalf of Calvin Johnson, as though he is anywhere near Jerry Rice status. Johnson is elite (best in the league today), but Gordon can be better. Don't believe me? Well, never mind me, just keep watching Gordon.

Hopefully when Hoyer comes back he can begin right where he left off. He made the monster outta Jordan Cameron and fed the ball to Bess and Gordon. He even put the ball in spots where even Little couldn't drop them. I really hope Hoyer comes back stronger than ever.

He's a great player, but he's not far away from Justin Blackmoning himself out of the league. Incredible talent, but air for brains.

I had to play against him in fantasy this week... Saying it's been a rough season for me is an understatement.

This is the 6th game this season where he's had at least 125 yards receiving.

That is pretty amazing, especially considering he plays for the Browns and missed the first 2 games of the season.

Crazy how he keeps coming up in trade rumors.

Browns would be insane to move this kid.
