Howdy Gang!

I figured I need to join the cool club and start an art thread. After working in the editorial field for 8+ years, I've had a blast working on sketch cards and commissions for the last few months. I'm working on several sets now that'll appear in 2014. I'll add my name to the new 'artist directly' sticky soon too.

I finally ordered some personal sketch card blanks. Here are two I finished recently - "Dr. Fate" and "Tarman"

Here are my covers I finished at the NYCC for the Topps' Mars Attacks booth. I have several blanks left for commissions.

Thanks! The 'Thump' is one of the few Star Wars cards of mine to show on ebay and sold for CHEAP.....like $16.

I have Star Wars blanks I haven't used yet. I may have to do a 'Greedo Shoots' piece.

Here's a Kick Ass combo - pun intended. These are the EXTRA GORE parallel!

Jason, as "art director" I'd like the card to be in the style of the old Topps Star Wars cards.

As a surprise twist, the "shot first" could actually be either Han or Greedo beaning the other with a pea shooter in grade school.

Ok, I'll leave...

I have only managed to get my hands on one of your Mars Attacks Sketches so far (technically I haven't got my hands on it yet as it is sitting in my COMC mailbox waiting for my next big shipment...) and love it. Will be eyeing up a couple more once the Xmas shopping has finished!

Sketch card of Krampus for a friend.

2013 has been a fun year for me - I journey into the sketch card realm for the first time, had the pleasure of drawing for Topps (Mars Attacks and Star Wars) at NYCC, and met numerous people on Blowout who are receptive to my inky doodles.

Thanks again for checking out my art and hopefully I'll have more to show in 2014!!

I was going after the terrifying Grinch! With my original sketches, I had a brutal 'Who Death' scene but decided with 'POOT' instead!
