I'm trying my hardest, to figure out how this could be viewed as negative. He is constantly being asked, picked and proded into giving a reply when asked what his nickname should be. Numerous times, he has declined to give an answer.
"Servent" is someone who works hard for others, not for themselves. It couldn't be a better description of the selfless way Durant carries himself in not just basketball, but life as well. Once again, I cant imagine how this could be spun into a negative light...but obviously you've once again misinterpreted the English language. |

I'm not getting into a LeBron/Durant/Jordan/Player X debate.
But I will agree that this nickname is awful

I would rather have a player call himself the Servant than King "Last Name". Ones humble and the other is arrogant.

There you are! Only a matter of time til you would show up with a negative opinion on Lebron. King James was given to him. He didn't make that up himself.

Not a catchy nickname but I think Durant does have the killer instinct, if he can win some titles it'll be ok... although I'm calling him KD.

In fairness he's right.
If LeBron said some of the things that Durant said we'd have 20 threads about how he lacks the killer mentality that Jordan or Kobe had.

It was a very odd interview in my opinion. I'm not saying anything negative about durant for it but it was very interesting a little awkward. I cant even think of words really haha. And I think I'm right that if Lebron had said those same things people would be all up in arms. I'm still guessing he hasn't listened to the interview yet so he doesn't know what we are talking about. |

He very well might be right, but other than some competitive banter involving lebron, this thread had nothing to do with it. It's obsessive.

Making that Lebron comment had nothing to do with anything other than your obsessive nature over Lebron and lebron haters. |

Others did when they wanted to make LeBron look arrogant for being called "King" and Durant seem humble for the "Servant" You can't have it both ways. Either a thread is "LeBron free" or it isn't - and once LeBron's nickname was brought up than it's fair game to assess the interview as the question does come up whether people would be critical of LeBron if he had answered some of the questions the way Durant did - and the answer is probably yes they would have been.
