Default Wow! Luke Kuechly is already a Hall of Famer...

Statistically speaking, based on his first two years in the NFL, Luke Kuechly has 100% chance of making it to the "Football Hall of Fame"

Don't believe it? Watch I'll prove it!

Since 1967, If you look at the NFL Defensive players who 1.) Win "Rookie of The Year" honors, and then follow up with at least one 2.)"Defensive Player of the Year" honors, they all end up in Cooperstown. Its happened every time a qualified player retires and becomes eligible!

Here's the list:

Joe Greene Defensive ROY 1969 & NFL Defensive POY 1972,4 = HOF 1987
Jack Lambert Defensive ROY 1974 & NFL Defensive POY 1976 = HOF 1990
Lawrence Taylor DROY 1981 & NFL Defensive POY 1981,2,6 = HOF 1999

Remember, winning DROY isn't enough. Winning DPOY isn't enough either. You have to win both awards sometime in your playing career and you qualify.

Next eligible:

Charles Woodson DROY 1998 & NFL DPOY 2009
Brian Urlacher DROY 2000 & NFL DPOY 2005
Terrell Suggs DROY 2003 & NFL DPOY 2011
Luke Kuechly DROY 2012 & NFL DPOY 2013

Woodson, Urlacher, and Suggs are all safe bets to eventually make it to Cooperstown one day after they retire (Assuming they don't O.J. their wives of course).

Btw, the odds of Kuechly going to the Hall are even greater as 1/3 of the members are former 1st round draft picks like Kuechly is.

Wow! After only 2 seasons in the NFL Luke Kuechly is already headed to Cooperstown!

Stated another way, if I'm wrong, Kuechly would be the first player in NFL history not to make it into the HOF after winning both DROY and DPOY honors.

I agree.

OP, you have just been disproved Dana Stubblefield won DROY in 1993 and DPOY in 1997....

I have no dog in this fight, but he left no one out.

He clearly stated that the player had to win ROOKIE of the year, NOT Defensive rookie of the year.

Former Steeler DROY Kendrell Bell Agrees. After 2 years no doubt HOF nods are worth their weight in gold even if he did not win ROY

Dana Stubblefield won both of these (1993 for DROY and 1997 for DPOY). He is not in the HOF... so OP did in fact leave someone out.

Suggs is far away from being in the Hall of Fame. He needs top probably put 3 more dominating years together. He just doesn't have the stats right now.

What the hell are you talking about? He clearly states:

So, yeah, he did leave out Stubblefield.

My fault guys. I was reading it quickly on my phone and definitely misread it.

And bledsoe, no need for the attitude
