Default Ebay buyer from overseas issue

Dude buys under his Austrian account. Then wants me to ship to US account. I tell him I have to ship to account eBay says in checkout, and they are saying this account is Global Program etc.
I ask him to contact ebay and tell them he wants me to ship this to a US Account and add the address to his name. He says he can't figure out how to find CS on ebaY? So i send him the link, he says he still can't find it. He wants me to cancel and relist it with a BIN and he will pay with US EBAY account
WTF is up with EBAY morons?

Just to get this straight:

His registered account is in Austria - but when he paid did he checkout with his Austrian address THAN ask you to ship to the US? if yes, then this is a problem and do not do what he asks.

But if he checked out with an address in the North Pole and you send the package to the North Pole then you are fine..

Plus i do not see how this is an international shipping issue.. i expected a lost package thread or something..

No he bought the card with his registered account is in Austria. Then I am waiting for him to check out, I cannot send invoice b/c ebay said this is a Global Shipping checkout they will let me know when to ship. So he now wants me to cancel this and do a BIN so he can buy with another account tied to a US shipping address.
He has not paid anything yet.
I cannot believe he is this dense to not understand this, so it makes me inclined to just be done with him after I cancel this item in two days.

All he has to do is request a total invoice, and select the address he wants item to be shipped to.

Oh yeah its his fault then, and i totally understand your frustration. If it is not a major sale i would just re-list and ignore him personally - i hate it when people create a fuss around simple things like this.

So is the hang-up the global shipping program? I opted out of this program because of all the negatives I have read from those who have purchased through it.

I stopped using the GSP when a buyer bought 18 items from me. It does not allow you to combine shipping when using this method and also doesn't allow you to make adjustments to the invoice (also extremely overpriced). I like finally being protected but not being able to combine purchases was a deal breaker for me.

OP - open a NPBD and report him to eBay

I think the buyer bought the item and then realized the seller is using the GSP. I heard GSP also forced the buyer to pay customs and etc. So the price the buyer has to pay is actually way higher than the auction price. The buyer may have second thought and want to use his U.S. friend/address to save some money.

OP: It is up to you on how you want to handle this situation. You really haven't lost anything (unless the card was new or super hot and the price has since dropped). You are just annoyed by the fact the buyer bought the card and asked you basically to reverse the transaction.

When you bid, ebay states the shipping and calculates the import fees on your bid amount. No excuse for the buyer "not knowing"

OP, I'd ask him to send you the funds via paypal.com, no need to cancel and re-list

Since the program was introduced, last week was the FIRST time I sold to someone using it. They bought a men's belt from me.

I shipped (to a US address even though they were internationally-based) and then a few days later got an email from eBay saying "YOUR ITEM COULD NOT BE DELIVERED".

I looked into the email and it said that the item could not be delivered and the buyer was being refunded by EBAY ... not ME ... and I didn't have to do anything.

This is all VERY odd...

I had this issue as well and was given negative feedback on a $20 sale. The winner of my auction had an ebay account registered in UK. But when he bought the item and paid for it, the paypal shipping was to China. I followed through and sent the item. He claimed it never arrived and paypal favoured in his case. I ate the $20 and refunded him. But then the pirate left me a neg to boot after i refunded him.

If you really want to close the deal, try to ask the buyer to document everything in PM. Then, you call ebay to adjust the invoice into the US address. This way, as long as ebay can confirm your action, then you should be safe to ship to US address.
