Default I bit the bullet tonight.. I hope my Spidey-Senses are right.

Chucked out a nice bit of change for a NM ASM #121 tonight. If my Spidey-Sense is working correctly, and I"m pretty sure it is, this book is going to double/triple in value in less than a week.

If you've got a lead on one and you've been wanting one for a while at a decent price. Get to your local comic shop, do not delay, do not pass go, do not collect $200, get there and get it.

Just for trending purposes, as it's already trending upwards, will be interesting to see these numbers in 3 weeks.

I loved it, but I am a fanboy..Like I said on the other site, I goto movies for enjoyment, not to nitpick the movie or look for things wrong. With an attitude of wanting to have fun, you will love this movie. It sets up lots of sequel options and the mid credit scene is interesting and makes u wonder about a crossover coming between some marvel universe's..And yes I am also purchasing one for about 350.00

121 and 122 have been on the rise for quite a few months now. These are 2 books I need for my ASM run. I'll wait until the movie hype dies down to grab them.

The way I see it is the only people buying into these issues at these prices right now are speculators. I don't foresee people who don't know about what happens in these books to all of a sudden have a huge interest in them like they possibly would with the introduction of a new character. I'd say good buy to flip to another speculator but if you want it for your collection, I'd say wait.

Has there been any book that has sustained high prices for more than a few months based solely on a movie release?

If you are a long term collector this won't raise the ante much long term. I agree just people looking for quick flips are driving up prices.

It shouldn't, as that scene was included simply for promotional reasons because Fox allowed Sony to poach their director.

They said they made a deal to include the mid-credit scene, the director had also stated that certain things wouldn't be in this movie, but yet they are..You just never know..

We've gotten to the point where a movie is touted for scenes during the credits?

The X-Men and Spider-Man franchises are not going to see a crossover event in a movie as long as the properties are owned by different studios. The studios aren't going to cannibalize their profits to appease comic book fans. Will never happen.

I think an xmen, FF4, spider crossover has been getting discussed a lot lately..Especially the ff4 part..they helped spider defeat his most popular villain.

I liked Tobey..I like the new ones..They could have just continued the Tobey ones with Spider2099 taking over..I don't know..Hollywood is running out of regular ideas, They could do Shazam, or some more marvel characters..not sure

We've also gotten to the point where key comics that have been keys for 20+ years only become "collectible" or "flippable" when tied to a movie. This comic has been key due to the story content and will continue for that reason regardless of what movie is out there.

True, and I owned one previous to this, but in lower grade, so I am effectively upgrading.
