eBay bidder - Dosstergq. any issue?
Just had an issue with a buyer on eBay. Had a 0 feedback member win a card. Obviously he won't pay. 2 minutes after the auction ended, the 2nd place bidder messaged me stating that 0 feedback buyer has burned him numerous times in the past and wanted to buy my card for his high bid.
Don't know how he can tell who it was since he can't see the guys name. Anyways, he offered to buy the card for more than $100 less than the winning bid. Card sold for $275. He offered me $169 with shipping. You think it's possible he used another account to win the card but tried to swoop it up with his main accounts lower bid? This may sound confusing but I'm sure people do this. The guys name is dosstergq. Anyone have run ins with this guy? |

There is no way the 2nd place guy can see who the 1st place bidder is...especially if he had 0 feedback, it could of been any person with a new account.. .. so i would think hes lying about that part imo... prob to get you to sell him a $275 card for $100+ discount..
What is the card if you dont mind my asking... and does it usually sell for $275? OR closer top 170 like he offered? PS email the winner with 0 feedback, and see if he plans on paying... i would not assume he is automatically not going to pay... Also i think you can look up his zip code, and see if it matches the other guys... i think its under bidding history PSS - if a 0 feedback guy was buying items and not paying all the time like the 2nd place guy claimed, then after 3 times doing that he would be suspended and lose his account after the 3rd strike i believe. The card was the 2013 Topps Triple threads 1/1 onyx parallel auto/patch book of Austin/Hopkins/Patterson/ Hunter/Woods/Dobson. I honestly thought it would go for $400+ but it's off season and eBay can be hit or miss sometimes. Plus a 1/1 is a hard item to price.

I already researched the high bidder and his address doesn't even exist. The high bidder is from MO, the 2nd place guy is from WV.

Oh ok. Well if he doesnt pay, make sure to file a case, and give him a strike so he doesnt keep doing this... Make sure to give it enough time though, you never know if the 2nd place guy is just jealous he lost out... and the 1st place guy might pay...

If the first guy don't pay. if I was you I would hold onto the card and wait for the season to start and then list it again. Hopefully you could get closer to the amount you want.

I sold 3 cards to Dosstergq over the weekend. He paid no problem and I am shipping his cards today. He has no negatives in 2581 transactions over the last 12 months. If he is doing stuff like that, he didn't do it to me.

Do not sell the card to the second bidder until you have given the first a non-payment strike. You might end up with 2 buyers for the same card and that could cause an even bigger headache.

It's pretty evident OP isn't too concerned about that happening

This is the conversation I had with the second place bidder after his original message saying he'd buy for 169.

Disregard this entire thread, doesn't matter anymore. If high bidder doesn't pay, I'm gonna wait till football season starts to sell.

He bought a ton off me in the past....took awhile to get the money but he paid. He overpaid on quite a bit of the stuff he won from me IMO

I hate to admit it, but other then having the bidder actually pay for the item, this is the best short term solution as you don't have to wait around and play games. You can move forward with trying to move it or hold till season. Good luck with what you decide to do
