Default My 1997 Skybox Rubies Collection

I thought I would make my own thread for this, seeing as how it's my top non-Colts project right now. I'm only going after the rookies - all 40 of them. 13 down, 27 to go! This has been the most fun I've had collecting a set in a long time, too.

Wow, they all look amazing

Just one suggestion, instead of including it in the set, you should light that Carruth on fire. Or maybe just have a chard version of the card in the set, that could work too.

Good old Bryant Westbrook. I remember being a kid and him getting called for pass interference every time the ball was thrown his way. after he came back from a injury.

nice set! good luck! I love going after sets when a card catchs my eye.

Really awesome. You picked a good set to put together.

This set caught my eye some time ago. At one point I had five of the rookies and decided I would never be able to complete the set. Ended up selling them all. Huge mistake. Now, I'm going for it a second time.

Haha, now that would be a true 1/1, right? I think he's up for parole in four years. How times flies.

Thanks, man. It's going to be a tough one to complete, even with only doing the 40 rookies. I have a feeling I might be doing this one for about 5 years or so. They aren't that expensive, but they don't all pop up very often.

Indeed it is! Like I was saying to you earlier, there are five big cards in that set and Dunn was one of them. I can't thank you enough.

Excellent choice! Some of the most beautiful cards I've seen.

I have one in my Springs PC (one of my favorites).

Very nice! There's actually a Springs Ruby on eBay right now but the seller wants $40 for it, which is about twice what I'd pay for it. If you ever decide to part with it, let me know!

I saw that. No best offer option either.

I'm not planning to move mine, but will keep you in mind if I come across another copy.

Yeah, I was hoping he'd at least let me make an offer but he doesn't respond to inquiries.

I do appreciate you keeping me in mind regarding yours.

I wish I had an extra for you, man. I really do. It's the only one I've ever seen, but there are 49 more out there so I imagine one will pop up.

What kind of scanner do you use 88? I know some of the scanners out there really make the cards pop and these definitely seem like the kind of cards that deserve that treatment.

Keep bumping this up. I enjoy this 100x any Panini mailday thread.
