Default EBAY/USPS Shipping Problems? Anyone else?

So i sent out a card a few days back and it lands in the buyers town over i believe and on tracking it showed out for delivery on May 19th. Then out of nowhere it says not updated and the buyer is saying its not received and he's all mad at ME. I don't understand why USPS screws this stuff up so easily.
Anyone have this happen to them?

I'm pretty sure I've seen this before, not through anything I've sent but I work CS and deal with packages all the time. Usually it updates after a while but could be days or even more before it updates again.

Yeah its happened to me before and it updated after a few days. It just annoys me when people blame the seller for usps issues.

Same thing happened to me... showed up as delivered one day then it wasn't delivered. I think they got it two days later and all was well. USPS is poorly ran, maybe we need to go old school and bring back the pony express.

had a package shipped to me (mineral specimen) and they delivered it CONFIRMED to the wrong address. the seller has sent to me several times without incident. Now I get a call from a guy also named my name saying "I got your package dude! when can you come pick it up?! I opened it and this "crystal wand" (piece of raw quartz) has changed my life! I was having such a bad day......on and on and I call the PO to tell them to fix this #@#@#@#@.
guy at the local PO confirms it delivered to the wrong address, and says he will take care of it and that he had already spoken to the person it was mistakenly delivered to.
that was a month and a half ago.
when I call the PO, he is not there...
whn I go there "that wasn't me, that was another guy"
and now it costs me over 3.25 to send a tracked card? (I have always stuck to bubble mailers) when the vast majority of cards I sell cost .99-3.00...that is something I am working on a solution to now...
damn this system

Your doing it wrong then. A card can be sent with tracking in a bubble mailer for 1.93 and the mailer can be had for around 10 cents.

1.93 is how much it costs me.

Something sort of similar happened to me. Topps Vault shipped out a card that was supposedly delivered May 8th. Tracking shows that it was, but it's nowhere to be found, and my neighbors didn't get it by accident. Very strange!

That's what it cost me (not counting the 30 cent bubble). But like I've said before, not everyone has access to a printer. I have to use my printer at work to print all my labels as I don't have a printer at home.

As for OP, I just had a similar problem. Card showed as have never even been dropped off at my PO. I drop in the box, so sometimes they don't scan at the end of the day. Card has yet to show up, but I refunded and told the guy to keep the card once it shows up.

I'm currently dealing with this, tracking shows out for delivery, but never made it to the buyer. Anyone ever experience this and know how eBay handles it in the end?

Theoretically, if the tracking said delivered and the card is less than $250.00, it is no longer your fault. If someone claims non-receipt, I think you can fight with eBay/Paypal. BUT I do think you need to call them to discuss with them. It is very likely eBay will just rule in favorite of the buyer.

explain. this is huge news as I used to be able to eat the cost (back when it was 1.51 to send first class w/tracking...) but can non longer do it.
PWE is so not me.

Its 750 now and the buyer can still claim non-receipt and there is a chance you could lose. There is a thread in the off topic section where a buyer got their refund despite DC on an 11.00 item. In order to win the DC must show delivery to the buyers zip code and must be shipped within your stated handling time.

In this case the item does not seem to show delivery so Ebay will rule in favor of the buyer.

You print them off ebay. You type in weight or i usuaply do 3 oz since usps doesn't really care, and it costs 1.93 since you get a discount.

Print your postage online its 1.93 for up to 3 ounces with tracking. Order your mailers in bulk and you can get them for around 10 to 15 cents each.

on line labels up to 3oz is 1.93 for first class.

I just got 500 bubble mailers for less than $35 shipped and you can find even better deals (I saw a few afterwards LOL) I was recently getting groups of 50 for about $6 shipped once my last batch ran out. Much better than the 10 for $4 at walmart.

Get between 200 and 500 if you are not a huge seller, you can get a decent working printer for about $25-$30 (I also will use work at times). I have one and it's just fine.

back to the OP, this has been going on since the beginning of the year more and more often. the status should probably update in a day or 2 just as everyone else is saying. what was the estimated delivery date? I don't even think he can complain until that day has past.
