Hurray! All it took was Walker going down with an apendectomy (had it done today according to sources) and Harrison moving to a more natural position.

Too bad that Walker's campaign toward the ASG has taken a hit, but Polanco in RF tomorrow... it's about time!

Just saw on MLB network. Let see some predictions for his first day in the bigs!

I'm saying 2-4 with a double and an RBI

I wish. More like 0-1 after coming in as a pinch hitter in the 7th.

Travis Wood is getting the start for the Cubbies tomorrow. Pirates outfield had a big night tonight- I would like to see Polanco do good in his debut

You don't think he's going to start tomorrow? I'd be pretty confident he does. I don't think i've seen a team this year call a prospect up the night before and not start him the next day. I bet Harriston sits.

Harrison will be playing second base...

Don't get me wrong: I'd love to see Hurdle start him tomorrow. I hope he pulls a Marte and crushes the first pitch he sees over the Clemente Wall. Or into the river. Let the legend commence.

Given the way the club has been taking its time with him, though, I think you see him batting later in the game as part of a double switch in the late innings.

I'd really like to be wrong on this.

I think you're the only one who thinks he won't start...

Don't call a star up like this after he's mashing and don't let him start his first game on the team.

I'm not going to jizz my pants for this, but I'll just stay mild and say he'll get his first hit tonight. HR? Won't say. Stolen bases? Won't say. I'll just stay at 1/4 and hope he goes like 5/5 with 2 HR, 6 RBI, 2 SB's and 4 R.

Hopefully it's a first AB home run. I would love to see that, though I'm just excited to watch tonight.

You can't be worried about T. Wood..maybe cause he's a lefty?

luckily Polanco doesn't mind:

vs Left .338 71 16 24 3 0 1 15 9 17 2 3 .413 .423 .835

Polanco should be fine against a lefty. He's hitting .338 (24-71) against lefties in AAA.

That's in 71 AB's here is his 2013 production splits

vs RHP as LHB 111 343 294 88 22 2 8 51 38 42 .299 .378 .469 .848 138 3 3 2 6 0
vs LHP as LHB 82 193 176 46 8 0 4 20 14 31 .261 .318 .375 .693 66 4 1 1 1 1

Much greater difference, of course in 2012 it was flipped.

He has cooled down some as well, last 25 games

G PA AB R H 2 3 HR RBI SB CS BB K AVG OBP SLG OPS
25 110 100 19 30 6 0 2 14 7 1 9 15 .300 .355 .420 .775
