Default LeBron James is going to be my favorite football card in my collection

Just got this in the mail today. Anyone else jumping at getting one?

LeBron is very good about signing for UD and I imagine with the playoffs over he should be signing soon.

Can't wait to get it in hand, I will be sure to upload a pic then. Most likely going straight to BGS and then going to be a centerpiece in my collection.

I want one, but I am thinking they likely go about 2x what I would pay though.

If events rather then just games count, and if him showing up to his school in football uniform to give away free sport supplies counts as an event, then it is Lebron's football rc.

Either way, its a very cool auto card.

This is soooo freaking cool, i'm pretty sure he could play in the league. I would say he would probably be a great tight end, I think as a WR he has the speed and catching ability but with those routes I would be worried for someone at his height to get injured.

I'm assuming it will be similar to the card in the preview, just autographed. No offense OP, but I hate the idea behind this card. I'm not a huge basketball fan, so that may be the reason I feel this way, but its not like he actually is a two sport athlete or someone like Jordan who tried his hand at a different sport. I also can't stand the picture of him looking down in the preview pic.

Either way, great pick up for you, I'm sure a lot of b-ball collectors would go nuts over it. From a football collector, I'm sure any of us would be happy to pull or hit in Group Break, but if that were me I'd be flipping before I could say..."its not like its 4-1"

that card is so cool. He should just play for the Browns this year. His cast on the Heat suck.

Its sad is what it is.. Upper deck hasnt drowned the lebron and mj auto market enough so now they gotta start stuffing him in football too...

Its not like this class even needed the boost... People are already gona be buying boxes up of everything like crazy prior to the season and after as long as a few of these guys show something.

I want proof that it's actually LeBron in that photo on the card, with the person looking down like that it seems 100% shady and a terrible card to own

but that's just my opinion

I love the card because:

1. I love football more than anything.
2. I love to read fiction novels (oh, what could be) - I have no problem living in fantasy land.
3. LeBron would be Calvin Johnson in the NFL. And no, that's not a stretch.
4. I like it when the hobby breaks away from tradition and trys something new.
5. In 25 years when I say I own a LeBron football card, I'm going to feel like Superman.

I guess upper deck should start throwing pics of andrew luck in a basketball jersey and hyping it as another rookie card.. With his accuracy, vision, and range he could be the next larry bird......... /end sarcasm

Because with the card in hand, I'm going to be able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, fly all around the world, and crack walnuts with my butt cheeks.

LeBron could never play in the NFL. He is a pussy. They don't allow pussies to play in the NFL.

I think it's a smart move by UD and is a good thing for box breakers. Weather you think the card is stupid or not (I'm actually not a fan of it personally) the fact of the matter is that the card being included in this product just adds overall value to it.

I see it exactly the same thing as the deion sanders thing last year... Its a marketing ploy to add value to a set. I hate gimmick cards.

Haven't people on this forum constantly been bitching about NFL rule changes making everyone "pussies" in the NFL?

This does not compute.
