Teaser Gallery: Panini America Opens Early Boxes of 2014 Hot Rookies Football

Now that we’re two days into one of the busiest weeks in recent Panini America history, it’s time to get cranking. Tomorrow, three new products release to the hobby (2014 Hot Rookies Football, 2013-14 Contenders Hockey and 2013-14 Select Basketball); Thursday the USA plays Germany in a huge FIFA World Cup matchup and then the 2014 NBA Draft tips off later that night. Today, we’re going to spend quite a bit of time today previewing the three aforementioned new releases, starting with 2014 Hot Rookies Football.
Clearly, there’s a reason the NFL season’s first hobby-only release is called “Hot Rookies.” In the Teaser Gallery that follows, we bring you a pack-by-pack breakdown of our three-box 2014 Hot Rookies Football thrill ride. The sold-out product releases in hobby shops across North America tomorrow, but we’re hoping this exclusive first look is enough to hold you over until then.

2014 Hot Rookies Football is a blast to open based on a unique box configuration that delivers four distinct pack types: One 32-card base-card/parallel pack, one 10-card pack featuring eight Rookie Cards and two Hot Rookies, one five-card insert pack and a three-card autograph pack. And within those pack types, there are Hot Pack versions.
The unique configuration begs the question: Do you open your three-card autograph pack first or do you save it until the end? Think about that for a bit and let us know in the comments section below. First, though, check out the gallery. We think you’ll like it.

After the Score debacle concerning the auto's, I'm just hoping I'm not missing my autograph pack.

They took all those 'missing' score autos and put them into this product! Can't wait for my Manziel hot pack.

I've been saying the same thing... Ive got two cases coming in, I guess I will open them but I'm already counting it as 2 grand wasted. The week delay made my regret buying it, although I'm not impressed at all with Bowman either.

My thoughts exactly...what the hell is Pead doing in this? And this is coming from a Cowboys fan-who wants a Gavin Escobar 2nd year auto? Panini is using this as a sticker dump it looks like.

So basically 1 inscriptions auto and 2 rookie auto's per auto pack. The inscriptions auto list is probably the worst list of auto's I've ever seen... There might be 5 from the list that warrant more than 5 bucks. I was bored and purchased 2 cases a few weeks ago... Might be a rough Wednesday lol.

So, if an LCS decides to sell by the pack, all 3 autos are in 1 pack? That's so smart. Let me have that 1 pack with all the autos. Y'all can keep the rest. And let me try and figure out which pack has all the junk base/parallels…hmmm.

Doesn't seem like a good idea for LCS' that sell by the pack.

It'd be nearly impossible to sell by the pack. Rookie pack for $20, base back for 15, insert pack for 15 and auto pack for 30? Something like that but it'd still be very odd.
