I hope I'm not getting ahead of myself here.
I just got an e-mail saying that my last and only batch was complete. This batch was due on on April 2f-ing3rd 2014. For those of you doing the math, they got those cards from me on ~February 23, 2014. I recently posted in the COMC processing thread that my batch remaining cards number had gone from 32 cards to just 10 after it had been sitting on 32 cards for MONTHS without anything new hitting my account. Now, as I mentioned, the e-mail says that the batch is done, again, with nothing new hitting my account. I know specifically one of the cards that has not shown up to my account. Has anyone else had this odd occurrence? I know that I can call them, but at the same time, this isn't something that a customer of theirs should even have to worry about. I literally have a package with ~500 cards waiting to go to them with the label on it and everything. They really don't want my business anymore I suppose... |

Yes. Most likely, they are not going to process the card, for whatever reason, and will be returning it to you. |

It said there were zero returns from the batch.
The card that I know was not processed was a 2001-02 Topps Chrome Dirk Nowitzki Black Refractor /50. There should not be any reason why that would be returned or anything like that. Why would it say that nothing is being returned, yet the card is not in my account? |

Best bet is to give them a call. I've only had something happen once with a missing card and it was taken care of with a couple of e-mails and a quick phone chat.
None for sale now - one sold previously serial numbered 35/50. Quote:

Let me know how this turns out. I have several cards from one completed batch that haven't turned up in my account as well.

I forgot you sent me a PM about this fezzi. I also forgot that Moe gave me an answer to our question.
This response was the response from Moe on August 6th (over a month ago, haha) "I think they "zeroed out" the cards so they wouldn't get picked up by the identification team and mis-identified. They haven't been deleted or removed, just taken out of the processing pools for the time being. It's something the web development team is handling and they have the code ready to re-instate your cards, when the time is right." I wasn't upset until I started to think about this issue again.... It is ****ing pathetic that the cards are still somewhere in the COMC system. My cards were due approx. April 23rd. Why the need to hide them? Can't they just process the last 25-30 cards? It has almost been FIVE G-D MONTHS. I didn't need to be stewing over this tonight Fezziwig, haha |

I've got a couple thousand more cards I had packed up in July, ready to send, but I can't justify it after over $500 in cards go unprocessed and missing. |

I had this happen a few years back. I had taken all my ebay items and sent in to COMC and after they went live i priced all of them but noticed there were many missing cards. I looked on COMC and they loaded them into someone else's port. A few i was able to get back by providing item numbers to prove that they were mine but others i had yet to put on ebay i couldn't prove they were mine.

Seriously? I did not check each item I mailed in for my batch. I thought there could be items missing but I wasn't sure because I had numerous duplicates I submitted.
Moe - Can you talk about this? Is it a problem that happens? Quote:

It was not a huge number, maybe 20-30 cards i was just lucky that the more expensive ones i could prove were mine with completed ebay item numbers. I triple count each box i send in now to assure that the same amount get's uploaded. I still have around a dozen cards due on 5/12

I've heard of instances where it happened with Mailbox items, when a card was deposited into the wrong Mailbox, due to the wrong COMC username written on the shipping label. We've beefed up our security and improved our methods of processing, to ensure that there's as little confusion as possible re: mis-placing a user's cards when they arrive here. Everything is given barcodes/labels with usernames and dates printed on them, we are being very careful to be deliberate in how we move cards from one area to the next, and there are areas in the building where access is limited to "necessary staff" only. I mean, there are offices/sections of the building I'm not supposed to go into, for security reasons. Sometimes there are items that are pulled aside for damage/inappropriate content and marked for return. Sometimes your count doesn't jibe with our counts and it looks like there are cards missing. We've had instances where a user has been adamant they sent in a specific card, then they find it on their desk a month later. We're doing our best to ensure that all of your cards are always accounted for, and if there are ever any doubts, please send an email or give us a call, as soon as possible, so we can figure out what's going on. |

So, being that it has been a month since we have corresponded Moe, what is the hold-up with the cards that were "zeroed out". The reason that you provided me gets even more ridiculous with each MONTH that passes. April 23rd was the due date.
How do corrections and edits overrule 5 month old submissions that are still not finished? It makes me sad for your company that someone doesn't just up and say let's get those 30 freaking cards done and get them out of the way. I would be willing to pay to find out how many thousands upon thousands of cards you guys have processed and how many checklists you have created since the due date of my submission that is missing from my dashboard. COMC isnt getting paid for those processing fees after August 31st, so as the great Jonah Hill once said "F*** me, Right?" |

So, thanks for your patience in all of this; I wish there could have been an easier way to do it, and 20/20 hindsight being what it is, I'm sure we'll get some feedback on what those ways could have been... |

At least I had a decent answer for you this time...I hate having to give out those generic, open-ended type answers, probably as much as you hate reading them.

I'm not sure I completely understand. Let's say, hypothetically, that I don't always keep a detailed list of every card I've sent in. My dashboard tells me I have zero cards left to be processed in any batch and there is no other indication that I have "zeroed out" cards remaining. I may still have cards left to be processed or sent back to me?
