Default Did ebay get rid of the abilityt to see how many offers have been made?

Sorry if another thread has been made. I just put an offer on an item and it did not show any pending offers. Then when I received the counteroffer it said 2 other offers were being considered. I checked back to the original item and it does not show any offers made (it used to say the number of offers made on item).

Then I checked other items that I know have offers and you can't see them. Is this just on my ghetto outdated browser or is this a new change? If so it's interesting. Many people use other offers as leverage in negotiating (most lie about what the offers are, of course).

As a buyer I like this. As as a seller I don't. Thoughts?

I'm not sure about that. But speaking of best offers, you can no longer see how much a card sold for if it was purchased with a best offer. It used to show the best offer price but now it just says best offer accepted. So you have no way of knowing how much it really sold for.

au contraire...

I don't know the name of the site or I'd link it...have it bookmarked at home but there's a site where you can go and put in the title of the listing and run a search and it'll show you what it sold for...

Of course it is only a matter of time before that starts working too...

Yes you still can, by looking at the original listing, then clicking print.

The listing below was a $229 BIN/BO.

2012 Andrew Luck Panini Black Auto Patch Autograph RC 168 349 Indianapolis Colts | eBay

Easiest way for me to find out what the best offer was is by copying the item number and pasting it in the eBay search box. It will pull up what it actually sold for

I think so. If you use a site like watch count you can still see how many offers were placed and status even if the listing is still active. eBay needs to bring this feature back.

But when you look at a listing that's ended it shows the original price with a line drawn through it and then says "best offer accepted" just like when you click the link above for the Andrew Luck card. Doesn't show the best offer price that the card sold for unless I'm missing something.

Click "see original listing" then click "print" and you'll see the actual sale price.

I never knew about the "print" trick. I just always put the item # in watchcount.com

Interesting. Now I see that it says "5 inquiries" somewhere at the top of the listing. This must mean 5 offers. So, I guess we can still get the gist of offers, but now we can't see who made the offers like we could before (or at least we could know some people based on ebay feedback and buying habits).

You used to also be able to find the eBay usernames for people that won auctions and could contact them. But now you can't do that either so it makes it more difficult to track down a card or just communicate with more collectors.

Where are you seeing this? It used to always say "1 offer" and you could click on the link and it would tell you whether it has expired or been declined. I assume that is what you are referring to? I don't see that option anymore but I also don't see the "5 inquiries" thing you are mentioning.

I had it for a day or so then it went away.

Inquiries could also mean number of questions asked.

I just clicked on like 20 flawless BIN OBO listings and didn't see any offers having been made, so I'm thinking it isn't showing for me anymore either, which is ridiculous.

No reason to block them, they help both buyer and seller, as they help the buyer know when there is other competition out there and knows if any other offers are sitting with either the buyer or seller, and help the seller for the same reason as it can get them higher offers when people see competition.

It would really be nice to meet the people behind these idiotic decisions.

They keep making the site worse and worse and it's almost like they are trying to drive us all away.

Looks like the "Print" option is no longer on completed listings meaning we cannot see what a best offer price actually sold for on cards. Bummer!

sortsof.com will show you BO purchase price. Also I think if you use your cellphone to show BO auctions it will show you what it sold for.

Up until a couple days ago the "Print" options was on there and once clicked it showed what the best offer price was. I do have the eBay app on my phone but I never see what an item sells for as a best offer either, only that it did sell. I will try out sortsof.com for sure thanks.

sorts of doesn't show the sale price; watchcount.com does though if you put the ebay item number in and search.

Thanks. Ill try this one out. www.ebay.ca no longer works either to see the offers and sale prices. Are there any other country abbreviations that still work?

I just know when one of my auctions gets a best offer ill get another one or two for the same card not too long after. Can buyers now tell when a card they are watching gets a best offer from another buyer?

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but the easiest method that I find that still works is using the eBay mobile site. I'm not talking about the mobile app that we all use, but the actual site on your browser. What I do is just take the item number from the mobile app, since it's my main thing of use, then paste the item number on the actual mobile site on my browser and search for it. It will show you the sold price right away with no tricks attached.

It'd be funny if some ebay rep was just scouring this thread and taking notes on what to abolish next update.
