Default Yankeesfan11- Might have a second account

I made a deal with him and he was banned from the sight.
Got a message today from Mjmfmm claiming to be his older brother.
But I looked at the account of this member and he seems to have posted the same cards for sale that I traded yankeesfan11 for.
Could really be an older brother, but I just want to make everyone aware as it may be the same kid who was previously banned.

No matches.

Is he selling the exact cards you already acquired via trade?

Only thing that bothers me is the same pattern of poor trading habits:

Well change of cell phone would do the IP trick.

I did not think BO used IPs. There are many other methods.

He was flagged to check again - and yep.

Yes they do. I know because a year or 2 back, someone had been banned and it booted me off too. My IP had somehow been changed, and it matched the IP of the person who had been kicked off.

I got the IP situation fixed with my provider, then contacted blowout and they fixed the problem here too.

I won't approve a mobile IP unless there is something else that will establish an online identity (ebay, twitter, beckett, etc).

Usually these are children who just go to a friend's house and register.

Interesting...what causes someone to be "flagged?"

I flag accounts that seem suspicious to me when I approve them.

Lots of these accounts are completely legit and I feel like I make the right call most of the time (by taking the risk and approving), but a few are suspicious for a reason.

What made this account suspicious is a thought the email address was very familiar... but I couldn't find a match anywhere.

When I checked the IP after seeing this thread, there were matches to about a dozen knockout27 accounts. No such match existed at registration.

What is to stop a person from going to a library or a public/shared computer and going on places like this? Most Librarys have different IP's per session & clear Data after every session.

Don't know about coffee shops..but you gotta be a real low-life scum to go from coffee shop to coffee shop trying to scam people on blowout.

That is why IP matches alone do not always work.

Coffee shops and other free WIFI are some of the most common places scammers use as it makes it harder to track them. Even then using the same computer leaves "fingerprints" that can eventually be tied together.

It just depends. Masked IP addresses and some business IP addresses will never be approved.

We have had guys actually cancel their cable and get a different service only to be outed later and it is all for naught. "At least I can go back to FiOS."

Other guys will spend a month rebuilding iTrader only to be outed later and all that work was for nothing.

Had somebody the other day say that BO is a scam and mods ban for fun and why wouldn't we protect him as a collector.... when he was told not to create another account, did anyway, was banned again 8 days later (after already receiving a neg), and now blames everyone else for his problems. Zero personal responsibility.
