Default High School kicker nails 61 yard Field goal

This kid is from the high school I went too. I think after this video gets around he is going to have a lot of schools taking a look at him.

A Vermont High Schooler set the state record with a 57 yard field goal this year. And it didn't barely squeak over the bar, it had plenty of room to spare. Quick guesstimate of mine had it at about 27 feet in the air when it sailed completely over the uprights.

Very impressive for a high school kicker. I remember in high school we had a kicker who could consistently make 30-40 yarders. It was such an advantage.

I've watched high school games where a 25 yarder was a finger crosser. Even with the extra five feet of width, they are inconsistent.

One thing FSU has done right over the last 17 years is assess and sign quality high school kickers. Prior to that, kickers were found through open tryouts.

Awesome achievement, but don't forget that high school kickers kick off a tee which is definitely an advantage. Still impressive though.
