Default David Wright

Hey Guys,

Ran upon this on eBay today and have been looking for a retirement present for my father in law for his home office. What do you think as he is a big Mets fan? I know its more than he deserves lol

That's a $200 piece. Can't you just arrange for local pickup since you're both in Texas?

That's a real nice piece. If it's obo I'd offer $375 on it if I were you. Most guys that put these together are willing to take 1/2 of their price.

Not sure if you have had anything professionally framed (I have only had a couple) and the framing alone is typicaly $200-$300 if they use the museum glass like description says. Plus the wire on the back of the one pic makes me think it was well done.

I agree the price is a little high and more than I want to spend on a gift.

Just adding it up, I think the cost would be 175-225 for the card, 200-300 for the frame, 100-150 for the autographed picture so low end cost would be $475 and high end $675. Am I wrong on these estimates?

It's a nice piece. It's your father-in-law, so drop the cash. I'd say the MLB certified photo is worth at least $100-$150, then the card is worth $100, then the framing is $200, so if you get it for $400, it's fair.

A card like that can be had for about 50 bucks. Here's this one

2013 Topps Five Star David Wright Quad Relic Auto Booklet 49 Mets | eBay

Than you can frame it along with this

David Wright Signed New York Mets 8x10 Photo 1 JSA Authenticated | eBay

Or this one

David Wright Signed Mets 1st MLB Hit Authentic Autographed 8x10 Photo LRM | eBay

Or you can just get this one cheap

David Wright Autographed 8 x 10 Picture with Mets Patch Matted and Framed | eBay

I dunno. I understand the framing costs money (although my Grandfather does it for me for free), but the card as mentioned is a $75ish card. The 8x10, I'm sorry, but what's with all the logos on the bottom? That's way too noisy for my taste.
