The Panini America Quality Control Gallery: 2014-15 Donruss Basketball (144 Pics)
Feb 19th 2015, 20:39, by Tracy Hackler

In a modern trading card marketplace rife with whiz-bang wonders of unparalleled technological wizardry and enough super-premium autograph and memorabilia creations to stock even the most exclusive museums, sometimes you need to take one small step back to truly appreciate all of these giants leaps forward. In the process, you learn to truly appreciate where we came from. That’s the feel-good vibe surrounding Panini America’s 2014-15 Donruss Basketball, a true throwback endeavor equipped to embrace the masses when it arrives in hobby shops across North America on Wednesday.
Each hobby box of 2014-15 Donruss Basketball will deliver three autograph or memorabilia cards and a bevy of nostalgic insert and parallel sets that will resonate resoundingly with newer and older collectors alike. Court Kings . . . Elite Series . . . Rated Rookies . . . The Rookies . . . Production Line . . . Scoring Kings. They’re all well represented in the triumphant return of Donruss Basketball.

But make no mistake about it: For all of its fond yesteryear nuances, 2014-15 Donruss Basketball also delivers a healthy dose of the aforementioned “whiz-bang” too — with parallels and with solid autograph and memorabilia checklists featuring the game’s biggest current stars, hottest rookies and all-time greats. The massive Quality Control Gallery below showcases a little bit of everything 2014-15 Donruss Basketball has to offer.
Enjoy the extended sneak peek and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for continued coverage of 2014-15 Donruss Basketball.

Swirl o Rama is back as a parallel. Is this a low or mid release?

Elite gol and red die cutie? The red Wilt is not numbered to his jersey number. I don't like it when they change the formula on sets that have some history. I guess the elite insert will be similar to totally certified parallels this year? Regular gold, blue, and red along with die cut versions. The print run of this sounds high on this.

I really enjoyed 10-11 Donruss and I am glad they brought the product back. I like those Court Kings cards.

This looks like a cool product for what it is. I'll be breaking a couple boxes and enjoying the nostalgia. No sick mojos needed.

So it looks like Elite, Timeless Treasures,Marquee and a 2nd version of Court Kings have been combined in this one release. Very Intriguing and Innovative!

So they are capable of doing action shots. Refractor these and call it Prizm, I would buy that.

Aside from Marquee all of these were originally/traditionally Donruss inserts. So they're actually just repatriating them. The only one i really have a problem with them including is Court Kings since it's already been released this year.

What u said. The original 2012 prizm had a little bit of an action shot with the faded background. Not anymore. The new one is terrible.

Lol Panini can't win. Too many products and combining products are frowned upon in this establishment!

For a cheap break, I like the cards and Nostalgia feel to the set. Randoms for breaks are averaging ~$20 for a cool break.
