Last time a team did this, 3 weeks later a team member was charged with murder.

I always felt he patriots got a heads up a couple weeks early that it was going to happen, why they picked up Tebow and made it seem official - good vs evil type of thing.

Time will tell.

He should have changed positions years ago.

Wish he would have worked out for the Browns instead. We need to get to 30 starting QB's soon (although I think Tebow could still start in Cleveland).

NBC Washington's Dianna Marie Russini reports there's an "80 percent chance" the Eagles will sign free agent Tim Tebow if they can trade Matt Barkley.
ESPN's Chris Mortensen has reported the Eagles are trying to trade Barkley for a "late" pick, something Russini confirms. If football czar Chip Kelly has serious eyes for Tebow, it's unclear why he wouldn't just release Barkley and his $592,500 salary. He must genuinely believe there's a market for Barkley's services. We find it rather hard to believe. There will undoubtedly be more Tebow updates as the week rolls on.

I hope he plays. I hope he does well. What I hope he doesn't do, is switch positions.

Call me old fashioned, but the man has a dream, and is firm in his ways. He has proved he doesn't need to play football to impact the world, so why should he conform to it?

A lot of QBs have won the Heisman. Very few actually succeed in the NFL.

I'm a bit confused why Jesus doesn't wave his magic wand and make Tebow the greatest quarterback in NFL history.

Because Tom Brady is God's nephew.

Ummm....he was given many chances.

If there was an NFL team that thought he could help them win, he wouldn't have been out of the league for the past few years. Look how many awful starting and backup QBs there are that have managed to stay in the league.

As an Eagles fan I hate it and I have no idea what Chip is thinking. Unless as others said he would consider a change in position. He should've done that from day 1 imo.

He did succeed....until the Patriots laid waste to him in the playoffs.

He succeeded despite his play. The Broncos had an amazing defense that year. Also the Steelers game he played "well" is a mirage. He was awful for most of the game and threw a 8 yrd pass that DT took to the house due to his freakish ability.

Teblow was given plenty of chances. Are you freaking kidding me? Teblow sucked balls and does not deserve any more chances.
