Items lost with a tracking number

Ive been pretty lucky with shipments in my time collecting. I recently sold two JP Crawford Chrome autos. Shipped the same day (March 9th). The tracking shows it leaving my town, getting to the major hub, and leaving the major hub. That was on March 11th.

I guess my question is what are the chances the Post Office is able to locate it with the tracking number? No insurance so Im pretty sure I am just out of luck if they can't find the package.

i had a 3 day Priority package leave CA and not get scanned again for over 2 weeks... i thought same thing as you... but it eventually did show

I had this happen last week, sent a package that was going to Montana first class and it never got scanned till his post office. Dropped at the post office on the 5th scanned in Montana on the 11th. Also had a package coming from panini get mailed on february 19th that just showed up yesterday. Thought for sure it had been lost.

I'm sure east coast weather has a lot to do with, but also just USPS being USPS. Some stuff insanely fast (before estimated delivery date) but more that are a day or two late.

I did have one last month that got stuck like 3 days in (went through 2 major hubs, but not the main hub in the delivery area), and I had to give the refund. Haven't bothered to check since then if it ever moved.

That all makes me feel better. The buyer is understandably anxious and is on the verge of opening a case despite reassurance s that I will voluntarily refund his money if he allows a reasonable time to pass.

I am happy to see this is a wide spread problem...I guess.

I have 3 packages from California that have been sitting there since March 8th. That's a bit ridiculous.
