I needed help with power and was offer this. ADP is about the same. What do you guys think about chris carter? Will he be able to bat above .250 and strike out less than 150? My league counts Strikeouts for batters and K/9 for pitchers.

Those extra categories make it tricky. Normally you take the hitter over pitcher, but here it really is straight up. Will the loss of the 35-40 homers kill your power? Will Gio put you over the top in your lacking pitching categories? Base it on the composition of your roster, but remember, finding a pitcher is a LOT easier than finding power on the waiver wire.

i agree with above....it is far from "easy" to find cheap power....carter is gonna be Elite in the HR category...but no...he will not hit over .250 and he will for sure K more than 150...lol...
but saying power can be had for cheap is silly....a guy who hits 20hr is not "power"...and that random player will also hit under .250 and k a bunch most likely....carter can legit hit 35-40 which is the new ELITE level of homers...i dont like either guy but if you need power then it seems ok to me...GIO isnt that great at any one thing... |
