Exclamation Need some help on this card ... Jordan Clarkson

Make sure to read post #5.

So the buyer ended up returning the Clarkson Gold /10 I sold for $500. Said there were "Xfractor Lines" on it. I'm wondering, is this something serious or just someone being picky? I am thinking about grading it, because truthfully, I dont find it that bad. I saw 7 golds pulled from 2 cases of select, and 3 of them were mine. All of them have the SAME lines. Would love some input!!!

The lines are by / between the red lines drawn on.

Trying to get pics of the Curry Gold Patch and Harden Gold patch I got, that look identical.

Sounds to me more like a regretful buyer than anything.

Yeah what a lame excuse for buyers remorse. Name and shame that fool.

It's because he paid $500 for Jordan Clarkson. Plain and simple.

Kind of funny everyone says buyers remorse. Not that I disagree at all. Buyer originally sent me a message on eBay for $400 less than 2 minutes before he bought it now for $500. Card arrive, and got a message stating it was damage. Less than 3 messages later, one of the solutions for the so called damage, which he could not show me for some reason, was to refund $100. Refunding $100 would get to the price point he wanted to be at. I figured, by the time I get it, will be a headache, so after a back and forth talk, I agreed to refund him. He decided two messages later, he changed his mind and didnt want to pay $400 and that he would ship it back. Card was shipped w/ signature confirmation, and notice came monday. I work and go to school full time, was told to put the slip on the door and they would be back tomorrow. Of course, nothing came when I got home from work. Wednesday comes around, received a message from the buyer stating I needed to go get the card by tommorrow (today) because he was waiting on his money. I sent a rather unpolite response stating his buyers remorse was not my top priority and that I had real things to worry about and that he had no right telling me what to do. Card came back today, I issued refund within 15 minutes. 1 Hr later he messaged me on here and said I need a refund as the card came, without checking eBay.

I hate xfractor lines and wouldn't buy a PC card with one. I'm not pick about corners or anything tho. As long as it's centered and presents well it's fine. I'd say the buyer has a right. Also not that BGS will grade an xfractor line as surface 9 max

I was the one who bought the card... I did not know that it would have 2 full xfractor lines (did not see any in the picture provided on Ebay). I as a seller as well on Ebay WOULD look over a card that could have these issues or any other issues especially if that card is a high valued card BEFORE listing to make sure it is noted in the item's description if there is any info I can share with potential buyers PRIOR to them bidding/buying. I have no problem paying 500 for a card... but a card with Xfractor lines to me is a no deal for my collection. I thought that maybe taking a partial refund and keeping the card was an option... but could not get past the fact of the card having those lines. Plain and simple.... most people know me on these boards as someone who has no problem paying top dollar for cards as I spend close to $250,000 a year on wax and singles. I am not going to waste anymore time defending my actions... just putting it out there what happened and why in regards to this post.

Thank you.

I just feel I should give my 2 cents on what happened and I respect the seller for not mentioning my name "much respect" as I am not someone who hides. That is why I posted here.

Are the lines that noticeable?? I don't really understand or see what's wrong? I know of chipping and white corners but have never heard of xfractor lines.

I'm pretty sure that's how the card looks...I'm not going to return a $500 dollar card because I'm unfamiliar with the design. You should be the one that knows what a card looks like before dropping that much on it.

Considering a lot of Xfractors do and do NOT have these lines.... it is NEVER safe to assume anything. I should not be the one for anything... that is the responsibility of a seller on a high end item. The seller did not even know what a xfractor line is/was. Nothing wrong with them not knowing either... just saying if someone is going to spend some coin on a card, that expect to be getting what is pictured and not something that's flaw(s) are not being shown.

I'm glad you would not return a card under these circumstances... I am not you.

Not trying to stir anything, but if he didn't know about it how could he mention it in a sale? You basically did get what was pictured did you not? Maybe next time ask before you buy, I myself have never heard of "X-Fractor lines" possible a few others haven't either.

i actually agree with the buyer here. if i get a card that i think doesn't have something that i looked for, but it does have it i'd be pissed.
a good example is this
card has a pinhole (small tiny dent in the card) and that isn't pictured in the ebay listing. can you then return the card? i'd hope so...

i do get your point about the refractor lines though, and i'd be pissed if i were you as well

I've seen factory xfractor defect lines before (owned a few too), and the ones in the picture seem like they're just part of the normal design.

The line that goes through his torso *MIGHT* be a refractor line defect, but I highly doubt that if all the other ones have it. It's certainly nowhere near as bad as ones I've seen...usually it'll be one huge, thick line that is not symmetrical with the others and very noticeable. This one doesn't seem that way...at least not from the pics.

There are 2 xfractor lines on the card crossing each other. You cannot see them via a scanner... I tried to take pictures to send to the seller but could never get a good picture of either line. I am shocked the seller was able to get those pics ups showing something..... but overall the lines are a lot more evident if you have the card in your hand.
