HEAT decline Team Option on Beasley.

Team got worse today, maybe they will be able to find a better player for $1.3 mill but I seriously doubt it. This was about saving a few hundred thousand $

Not sure about this move. It seems to me like Beasley is a pretty good deal at $1.3 million. I know he has his problems, but the guy can put up decent numbers when given the chance.

We will wait and see but if our second round pick makes the team in addition to one of our Summer League players or someone from the Skyforce Im going to be p!ssed.

Beas didnt cause any problems on or off court so Im not sure why we didnt keep him around for his offense just wierd

Crazy that almost all the heat fans are gone. Amare will be a solid pickup.

I hope they trade Chalmers and bring Cole back.

They also gave away Shabazz Napier. The 2nd round pick is so protected the odds are they'll never see it.

I realize it was a cash dump. I understand why they did it.

Still seems a little early to trade him away and get nothing back.

Not really, he showed very little promise and the Heat didnt want him to begin with. They wanted Lebron back and Napier was just a pawn. He will be a 3rd string PG, and he value wasn't there for other teams either, which means the Heat weren't alone in that thinking. Plus they are probably planning to work out Beasley (again), so need roster space.

Dont mind asu, he offers little of actual substance.

Not sure why anyone would want Cole over Chalmers but we will agree to disagree there.

I love that we are purging the dead weight from the roster other than Tyler Johnson who they want to keep around for some reason that completely baffles me.
Id cut TJ long before Id give up on James Ennis

I agree on both of these. Prior to the finals 2 years ago, Chalmers showed he can make shots and even this year he had a lot of positives getting to the rim. Last year he started off hot from deep but cooled down, seeing as in some games he was literally the #1 option (which he shouldnt be) he did well. Cole is/was a nice spark off the bench, but I rather have Chalmers over Cole as well.

Chalmers even did pretty well at SG when Wade was out in Feb.
Mario was never intended to be the main guy but having him play with the second unit or at Guard when Dragic/Wade arent playing will be a perfect fit. Im really excited for this season

Not tonight. Im guessing he will be like a 10 mpg guy to start. Too soon to tell but Amare and Josh Mcroberts are the 2nd unit bigs and Chalmers and Green.
Im guessing they use Ennis/Haslem/Tyler Johnson/Winslow to fill the remaining spot

Stephen a smith was saying don't be surprised to see the heat knock out the cavs in the playoffs. Those are some big words. So ready for this season to start, good luck heat fans.
