Ok so like an idiot, I missed my scheduled draft and ended up with this team. As you can see, I was loaded at WR and absolutly horrible at RB. I had to make a trade, what do you think?
12 team, H2H, standard scoring, 6pts for all TDs QBs: Philip Rivers, Alex Smith RBs: Michael Bush, Justin Forsett, Leon Washington WRs: Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Steve Smith(NYG), Steve Breaton, Nate Washington I traded Andre Johnson & Alex Smith for LeSean McCoy and Jahvid Best.

You were in a tough spot, but you traded arguably the top receiver for two mid-teen RBs who don't look to score may TDs. You could have won many weeks just on the awesomeness of your WRs and QB.

You can only start 1 QB and I have Philip Rivers. I will pick someone up on the bye-week. My reasoning for the trade was that I only have 1 RB who is currently the scheduled starter on his team (Forsett), Bush is injured and Washington is Forsett's backup....if I didnt trade for RBs I'd be looking at almost ZERO pts from my RB position! Now I have 3 clear cut starting RBs in McCoy, Best, and Forsett. I can start 3 RBs now and 2 WRs in Reggie Wayne and Steve Smith, who should both contribute weekly. Don't you think this will average me more points than 3 WRs and one very weak RB?

lol yeah I had to join another league just because of that! Trading Johnson probably wasnt the best decision, I was a little desperate. I'm banking on McCoy and Best together to score as much points or more than Johnson alone. If you figure Johnson as 1500 yds and 14 TDs, Best and McCoy would have to average a mere 750 yds and 7 TDs each...which should be manageable for starting RBs. Im going to keep my fingers crossed throughout the season hoping this doesn't bite me in the rear too severly.

Seems like a drastic move to me. You were horrible at the RB spot, but unless you HAVE to play 2-3 RB's, you had the WR strength to overcome it until Bush returns. Someone would have emerged through waivers in the first couple weeks as at least an acceptable option until Bush came back, and either Washington you have is a candidate to hit waivers for a nicer early pick up.
I don't think you're going to be significantly worse because of the trade or anything... but you went from having a really great WR core for a 12 man league and a really horrible RB core, to being mediocre in both. You should have been able to make that same deal with Wayne in place of Johnson if you really wanted those RB's, and if the guy wouldn't have gone for that, then you should have walked away as he was clearly trying to take advantage of you. I would have looked at trading Steve Smith for a lower rated but high ceiling RB to get you by until Bush returns... someone like Ricky Williams (with Ronnie Brown out early, he should see higher than his draft slot returns early on), Jerome Harrison (will get the most touches and starts the season against a really weak schedule), or Ahmad Bradshaw (should be drafted higher than Jacobs anyway). All those guys are rated a round lower Smith and you could have maintained your beast combo of Johnson and Wayne.

Oh. I don't pay much attention to teams with nothing to offer the FF community, like Oakland or TB. In that case I'd say you had to do something.

Were you auto drafted by the computer or was it a live draft and your other league members drafted this team for you? If it was a live draft I think you need to punch the other members all in the face. If it was an auto draft, how did you prerank your players to end up with that bunch of running backs?

I probably would've held onto Johnson, he is a beast and the Texans throw a ton. Forsett was just named the starter in Seattle, so you could get by with ok RB's and had an awesome WR core. I don't know about McCoy (PHI throws a ton) and Best (He is a rookie), and Andre Johnson is pretty much a sure thing. Good luck and hope it works out for you!!

Bad, Bad trade. I serious doubt both Best and McCoy will hold up all year.

I would have traded Wayne or Smith over Johnson could have trade either of those two for a solid RB and would have been in great shape. If I was the guy that was trading with you I would have jumped all over that trade. I guess you don't have a league vote on trades or else I could see that one getting voted down.
