Default 10 Most Unbreakable NBA Records

NBA: 10 Records That No One Seems to Be Able to Break

What do you all think would be the "easiest" of these to break? I guess 100 point game. It can happen and you only need 1 game to accomplish it. All the rest are cumulative records.

30 assists seems pretty hard.

Held by Scott Skiles.

Most of those seem reasonable.

No one is going to drop 50 a game in today's NBA. No team is going to win 8 straight in today's NBA.

Those 2 stand out to me for sure

Easiest would probably be 100 - even if that seems crazy - simply because it's something you can do on your own if you're someone like Kobe, LeBron, Durant etc... (probably pissing off your teammates though)

With the right timing/schedule/luck/health, 33 games 'W' in a row and 72 games 'W' are doable.

GS warriors had 67 wins with a newbie head coach. Heats had a 27 wins in a row when they did not even need Big 3 for many games.

I'll say most wins in a single season. (record 72)

If the elite keep trying to play with eachother one of these days there will be a ridiculous team.

Spot on. No one is ever breaking 50ppg.

Someone could break the 100 pts in one game.

No one will ever break stocktons assist record.

I actually believe those are too tough. Going from 65 to, say, 70 wins is extremely difficult.

I think the most "doable", although not in the list, is Skiles' 30 assists. Unlike the other, assist numbers can be helped with some friendly home-cooking. Consider that with an OT or double OT game and that could happen.

From the list, as weird as it is, it might be Phil's 11 titles.

Rebounding by wilt. No chance in today's game.

8 consecutive titles and 50ppg are very close.

Cumulative records tend to be the records that fall. So I don't agree with this.

Kobe had 81, and the game against dallas he had 62 in 3 quarters, so 100 could definitely be done imo. 50 ppg would most likely be the hardest

2000-01 Lakers went 15-1 through the Playoffs/Finals. That's pretty tough.

I think the hardest is going to be the 50 ppg average for a full season. Unless the rules change that isn't going to happen.

Wilt's 23 blocked shots in a game won't either. The most since Wilt is 15 by Shaq and Bol twice.

Minutes per game for a player in a season.
Wilt averaged 48.5 one year.
It would be slightly less difficult to break the total minutes record he set that year, as a player could be traded and end up playing more than 82 games in a season.

Wilt's 20,000 Women should have been on the list.

Shawn Kemp's 7 children to six different women will be hard to break too

I agree, these two records could be the first to fall, but like you said it would take the right timing, schedule, luck, and health to do it.

Although I agree with most of the more unlikely to be broken, (50ppg & career rebounds) the reason behind it reveals why they aren't necessarily impressive, either. There was no parity among players in these eras. To me, it's more circumstantial than anything else.

Although records are meant to be broken, some won't ever because the lack of competition in the old days, is the reason for 50 ppg stats. To go along with ridicuous rebounding and block stats.

I will say it's amazing that 5 years ago Kevin love put up the first 30 point 30 rebound game in decades.

How is Kemp getting paid to take care of his 58 kids?

I guess his jaw is the reason why he isn't doing TV.
