Default Show your PUMPKINS!!!

My daughter and I carved this yesterday...took 3 hours.

Not sure if it is a haunted castle or haunted house....

Not too bad at all. We usually wait until the night before Halloween to carve the pumpkins. I'll try to remember to post pics then.

Thanks! We used a drawing as a stencil, taped it to the front of the pumpkin, and then my 5-year old poked along the lines with a safety pin. Once we took away the picture, behind it was an easy guide of where to cut. She obviously couldn't help much with the actual cutting, but she loved getting up to her elbows in pumpkin guts. Who would've thought that the worst part of pumpkin carving was her favorite?

I love your castle! Haven't carved it yet, but this is from before. Have to wait until the night of to carve or else it always gets smashed since we live in Seahawks territory lol. Given the recent win, I think we might avoid doing this one this year...

My favorite right now is the shocked UofM fan from the MSU win 2 weeks ago.

Few years ago I actually got into carving the foam pumpkins, mostly because all of the work you do is saved and can be used year after year. I did the same thing (stencil) but it was a marsh. Ended up looking really nice and I gave it to a duck hunting friend. Still got 2 more to do, but going to try them with a dremel, although it sounds like the trick is really to use a heated electric knife.

I thought it was a "Show Your Blumpkin" thread...thought that was kind of sick but to each his own.
