Default 2 x 2006 Bowman Chrome

AKA Thomas Howard hunting. When the cost is low on these, I bust them in search of any color refractors of Thomas Howard and on the very slightest chance that I might find his Super that I have never seen appear. Just a fun cheap break of a class that should have been!

If there is a player you might want from 06 BC, LMK and I will just send them in a PWE to you!

Box Toppers
Kevin McMahan /519
Omar Jacobs /519

Notable Refractors
A.J. Hawk RC

Did find at least one Howard but just base Chrome.

I'm always curious as to why there are certain player collections if they are not a big name player. So why Thomas Howard?

the autographs were not bad as well. I mean Kiwanuka was a huge part of two Giants Superbowls and Pope was a good Tight End.

I played golf at UTEP when Howard was there playing football. I was one year older than him and while we were acquaintances at best due to running into each other at study hall, student-athlete events, etc, collecting a player who I knew in a sense is what drove this collection. He had a really good start to his career and really wish he hadn't of passed away a few years ago.

Here are a few interesting collection stats of his collection also a link to photobucket if you want to take a look. About 95% is scanned and uploaded.

Ultimate Collection Auto: Own 52 of the 275
BC Red Refractor: Own 2 of the 5
BC Orange Refractor: Own 7 of the 25
BC Gold Refractor: Own 9 of the 50
BC Blue Refractor: Own 12 of the 150

Oh I agree. I put the base auto set together back in the day and still have it. So unless it is a color auto, they are all duplicates.

That's cool! It is cool to be able to collect cards of someone you knew. I actually went to school with a guy and was friends with his sister that I just found out recently he had been drafted by the Dolphins quite a few years ago. He stopped playing football to follow his dream of leading hiking excursions and he had a heart condition and passed away also. I've never been able to find any cards of his though so I don't think he had any. Good luck with your collection. It's really cool.
