Default Pat Tillman

Anybody have any Pat Tillman cards to show. This is my only one. Not sure if Beckett will accept it for grading or not.

I see where it is an officially licensed product so I don't see why not.

This one isn't mine, but I have one of these:

2001 Fleer Tradition Glossy Pat Tillman Unsung Heroes RC Arizona Cardinals | eBay

It was one of my first purchases when I got back in to the hobby.

I have this one. It may be one of my favorite non Viking PC cards. Made to highlight his charity work, but now that he passed on it takes on another meaning. Sorry no scan.

yea... 'Haha'

As someone who also marked time at FO base Solerno I continue to be disgusted every 4 years when his name is brought up in an election cycle in the media and then, subsequently, on here, when ppl try to make a quick buck when aforementioned media drags his name back into the limelight again to sway politics in a particular direction.
I keep trying to spit that bitter taste out but it never leaves, and here we are again.

Sorry, not implying that you guys are pimping your auctions as I read the post's caveats ... Just that it always seems to happen around... Now.. Ever 3-4 years

I would love to see a company do a insert set in one of their products honouring the "Man of the Year" nominees from each team.

Did they ever release the documentary about the cover-up of his death? I saw Trailers for it, but the news seemed to go away before I ever heard of it being released. I own the Biography Channel DVD, but I was a little disappointed in how much they focused on his arrest and time in Juvenile Hall just before going to ASU and that if it had been made public, he may have never played college or in the NFL at all.

I met him briefly at Leland High School's Summer Passing Camp Tournament in 1994, he was volunteering to be a Referee after his Freshman year at ASU despite the 100+ degree weather that weekend. Extremely humble guy and we admired him as a Demi-God since he was the Central Coast Section High School Player of the Year the year before with 40+ Touchdowns and being all world Linebacker also for Leland. We called him Hercules because of that long hair and he Reffed without his shirt on and looked like a pro body builder.

Anyways, great Human Being, and he might have been penalized or kicked out of the league in today's NFL because of his Ronnie Lott/Rodney Harrison Head-Hunting, but his dedication and loyalty should be the stuff of Legends.

And as much as I would have loved to own a Pat Tillman Game used card, this was a very classy move by Donruss/Leaf/Playoff:

Company to return jersey to family

Very sad day indeed. I was also deployed when I heard the news of Tillman being killed. A true American hero. I also ended up with a first edition first print singed copy of American Sniper, don't know if I could ever let that go either.

I was just sifting through my old cards (can't sleep), and I came across my upper deck mvp. I started googling about him and found this thread. Also came across the article below which I though was a good quick read about his cards.

Pat Tillman's football cards not forgotten - ESPN

For all of you that have a tie to Pat or his story I humbly request you to join your local shadow run in his memory next year. As the former president of the ASU alumni association in NYC we love everyone that supports him and his foundation.

This is an old link as I'm searching on my phone but we do this every year in April all over the country

And here is a link to the NY chapter and a picture from our run a couple of years ago.

I am fortunate to have his autograph on a Cardinals team-signed football.

The OP's original card is my fav. I used to have one in a BGS 9.5 slab circa 2009. Wish I still had it

Some day I will have to learn how to post pics. For those who want a Great Pat Tillman card without paying for a Tillman card, find a Brian Mitchell out of 2001 Pacific. This card has Tillman bringing down Mitchell and if you didn't look at the bottom of the card and read that it was Brian Mitchell you would have for sure thought that it was a Pat Tillman card. It reminds me of those In Action cards from the 70's. Awesome pic ! My favorite card of Tillman though it's a Mitchell.

I think you mean Fleer Ultra? Also this thread made me get a glossy unsung heroes off the bay. Got it cheap for like 8 buys but the MVP is the one to get. Will hang it next to my replica Tillman jersey I have somewhere.

Dreamerfan, no, it's a 2001 Pacific. When I go back home I'll remember to include the card number. Thought I had included the number. Brian Mitchell was with Philly and the card shows Mitchell's head and a portion of his shoulder and the entire center of the card is Tillman with his name as clear as a pic could show.
