Not a hoax. ESPN reported that he retired. He's ended the last 3 seasons on IR.

Nope, he posted it on his instagram. Originally posted about becoming a free agent then changed his mind. With his recent injury history it is not surprising.

man, the career that could have been. I remember in the Madden Head Coach game, he was a surefire prospect to draft.

He still had a pretty good career. He just kept getting hurt and I think he realized his body was breaking down.

Short but great career. Hope he sticks around with the Pats...he is a true leader.
