I'm guessing he doesn't look at who he is buying from...nor did he ask the people who said this what sellers were doing this...sounds like something he just thinks happens.

Yeah, that message would bother anyone that is honest. My guess, is he/she received some not so good cards and want to make sure it is known to sellers they won't accept those again but are going about it the wrong way. Instead of assuming someone has no integrity do a little research or ask specific questions.

I hate when I sell something and I get a message though. I'm very specific and honest so when I see a question it's usually not a good thing. Now I'm rambling...

Yes anytime I've seen something like this upfront it always seems to turn out bad...that is why I block them the .12 I made on the card is not worth the aggravation.

Sorry to intrude on the living set thread with topps now, but I figured I would share. This was from a buyer who bought one of my ST-7 Ohtani. For the 2018 ST cards, topps did not put the "topps" holos on the back, like they are doing with 2018. So I got this message:

Authentic? I have 3 cards I ordered directly from Topps this year. All 3 cards have a Topps hologram running across the back. The one that you sent me does not have the Topps logo. Please send proof that these cards were purchased from Topps. I will wait to hear back.

Got my first Acuna shipment today. I usually order 5 lots. I changed it up and did 7 lots thinking 21 cards with foam would fit better.... this is what I got...

I've looked at a few.... Acuna has some minor white showing. 1 wasn't completely sealed and the Acuna has nice chunk of white showing.

Bro, on my living set auctions, I had one dude bid multiple times and then when he finally got a leading bid, messaged to cancel his bid. I didn't because, #@#@#@#@ him, and then he won. Then he threatened to "send me to eBay" because I didn't cancel his bid. Dude had over 2,500 feedback and doesn't know it's his job to cancel the bid.

Ask them to turn over any card. If they can find an ST-7 with a holo, they win.

How about sending whatever it is you are describing in the listing. If you wish to keep your gradeable ones and sell your damages, just describe the damages with a good photo and there isn't a damn thing wrong with that. Nobody is required to sell gradeable cards. But they are required to describe them properly. If a seller doesn't point out damages and sends damaged cards, he is in the wrong!

Given the values involved, I think you have to treat these like good Bowman base cards and not do listings for bulk lots with a pic of one or using stock photos.

Buyers should see exactly what card they are getting or you invite this kind of speculation.

Truly the worst thing about eBay today. There are people that search out listings that they know they can take advantage of later. If the buyer didn’t want to cause problems he would have taken the same effort to ask the question before buying as opposed to messaging after. I’m sorry every time anyone has to go through this.
