Let me guess, you assume I have all this money invested in Eloy and just closing my eyes hoping it gets better soon? Not everyone here, or in other player threads that comment on a player has heavy money involved. I have $0 invested, but what I can tell you is to base your opinion on just 3 games is absurd. He could easily go 9/12 with 4 hrs his next three games and now all of a sudden it’s BUY BUY BUY, he’s better then Trout, role out the red carpet at Cooperstown, etc.

Let’s wait until mid May, early June, and really see what’s going on. Hell, even end of April gives us a better idea than 3 games.

What issue? Do you even watch baseball? So all the great players consistently get hits every game, don't strikeout, never slump, never chase pitches???

Not to mention one pitcher he faced threw a 7 inning two hitter and another threw a 7 inning one hitter, but that's all Eloy's fault too I'm sure. Everyone was chasing Clevinger today. It happens.

It's one thing to comment that Eloy is struggling to start the season... but the bottom line is that it is comical to say "time to worry?" ... it would be like making a panic thread a quarter into the NFL season when a rookie QB starts out shaky.

I would guess it is just nerves, but wayyy to early to panic.

I'm just not a total idiot who watches 4 cold weather games in a 162 game season and decides that there are suddenly major issues with a player who has struckout 18% of the time in the previous 5 seasons. As if he suddenly woke up one March morning and is now the next Russell Branyan.

You do realize he plays in Chicago right? One of the worst places to play for weather! Wind, Rain, Cold. Its all there a lot!

Of course we are only 4 games in. When you have guys cards selling at $400-500 for base autos and they come into the league and can't lay off pitches a good foot outside of the zone I am not sure what that signals. Apparently nothing. I never said he was going to be a bust.

You need a good 2 months of baseball to make any sort of rational judgments about any player. Bottom line...this thread is absolutely nuts and the more you talk, the worse you look. I was just about to post something similar to this.

Bregman had a HORRIBLE start to his career. His cards tanked HARD.

Here are his stats from his first 20 games..... once his prices tanked... they didnt come back. I think they are now.... but this was 3 seasons ago

You are so blind here. He stinks so far? Correct? That is the reality. He is chasing lots of pitches away and can't lay off? Correct? That's reality. Lots of players stink right now. They don't have base autos $400-500. That's reality again.
