I’m not sure the Bucks understand the irony of the situation. The anti-BLM crowd hates the approach the NBA has taken on social justice. I’m sure they are thrilled the players have decided not to play.

They're refusing to work until the riots stop in Wisconsin and Portland right?

Which means it wasn’t a general question as you posed, but you truly felt that anyone disagreeing with the players or NBA taking a stance on the issue was in the wrong.

As I said, explaining why I hated the sentiment is that a consumer is allowed to feel any way they want about a product and respond in kind but continuing to consume or not. If the league taking a stance on an issue that is both controversial and political, a consumer is in their rights to question or change their habits. It happens all the time in less controversial ways.

I guess the great takeaway from all of this was in your desire to show my non-existent bias - unless you take my hatred of a consumer changing their mind over personal beliefs being wrong as a bias - is that you went ahead and revealed your bias for all of us.

I say if you are so against the political and social stances of Black Lives Matter and want to turn off the NBA, do so. It’s your right as a consumer to speak with your wallet.

I may be taking that route with NFL, should they pursue that stance come the fall.
I didn't hate your sentiment. I just didn't find it relevant to my question.

Truth be told I'm getting bored of our arguments.

So if they refuse to play, shouldn't they also not only take the loss, but also forfeit their pay for this game?

Agreed. The only counterargument I'd have would be that the Bucks are seeking some action from their local and state govts.

Except that in many cases of police brutality, no laws were broken by the victims. And even if there hypothetically were, it's not in the Police's power to be judge and jury. Not complying with employees of the government doesn't give them the right to ignore the law and furthermore the Constitution of this country. You're arguing in favor of basically unlimited government power.

Getting kicked in the shorts regularly would probably get old after a while.

I wouldn’t blame you if you went back to focusing on your made up research.

That's.. not what I'm saying. At all.

And you realize this all came to a head with George Floyd, right?

And yes, but I'm not sure what that has to do specifically with George Floyd?

I'm sure most, if not all would agree that if no laws were broken police brutality is dead wrong.
I'm also sure most would also agree, those incidents are far and few between.

The study has concluded.

It's been more similar to being in a room with mosquitos.

NBA was the first to cancel games with COVID. Now this. Here we go again!

Ooooooo I did not know. I don't frequent the MLB section. I quietly collect Barry Bonds -- the ultimate cheater... and GOAT.

I'm saying that if the goal is to change police training (on the ground), that's going to take how long to go into effect? Months? Years? And on the administrative side, trying to change union authority? Months? Years?

So don't put yourself into situations where you're dealing with police. And if you are, comply. It's simple.

And with Floyd, breaking the law is why he had to deal with the police in the first place.

I bet the Magic are salty that they didn't think of this first. And the Raptors and Celtics are extra salty since they thought of it but didn't get a chance to be first.
