I remember Obama had those shovel ready jobs, in my old town they built a bunch of bus stops. They are now empty and abandoned because their isn’t a bus running anymore. Sounds kinda odd to me how that public transportation ran flat.

Yes. I worry for my kids. My oldest is a sophomore in college and luckily has no debt at this point.

My senior in hs has his path laid out: two year at CC then transfer to a University to finish up to save money.

My sophomore in hs...well, he has a cute rich girlfriend.

Damn dude. You do know that the farm industry is the highest amount of subsidies in the US?

22 BILLION in 2019.

Nothing even comes close. They already get more kick backs than any other industry.

If you make $10 your whole life you are doing it wrong. You are either lazy or physically or mentally impaired. I have no problem with my taxes supporting the handicapped but not the lazy and unmotivated.

You can be a manager at Walmart and barely make 15 an hour. Even when you get a promotion you are still stuck in a cycle of poverty.

I come from a very poor family with neither parent having a college degree. I started with a paper route at age 13. Then bagged groceries at Bakers for minimum wage. Moved on to work at a detail shop. Then managed the detail shop. Then moved to fitness industry. Eventually moving on to start my own business which I have successfully owned since 2008. I have no college degree. I simply put my head down and went to work towards my goal. I am not rich by any means but I live comfortably while still having time to spend with my family. Which was my goal. Man I love this country!

Now allow the workers to be part-owners in the farms while being subsidized by the government and Voila you have yourself a functioning socialist means of food production!

It can be done, if you have a manager that is easy to work with. If not, it's nearly impossible. That manager won't last anyways.

More examples!

My wife worked at Meijer and JcPenney. Both understood she needed both jobs. She would work Meijer in the morning and JcPenney at night.

Stop funding and helping the people who feed us.

Check how the Chinese Government keeps all money and that’s who writes your check, not joe farmer.

C’mon bird, how does me advocating for more farmer funding to pay workers a higher wages make me a socialist ? I’m literally saying slash government spending on politicians and implement it into American owned and operated businesses.
