That is a juvenile approach, wouldn't you say?

Spending during hard times is very different than spending during good times.

Personally, I'd say we need to cut at least $150B from military spending this year and another $600B from various other programs. Had we spent responsibly over the last few years, a 700-800B stimulus would be okay now. But we didn't.

We also need to roll back the tax cuts. It sucks, but that's where Trump led us. We could've enjoyed the cuts but he blew it by overspending during the good years.

Given the choice, I'd do about a $300B stimulus but it wouldn't be deficit, it'd be from other programs. So in that sense, it wouldn't really be a stimulus.

But go ahead and look at it as if there are only two possibilities.

All of them. : )

I spent my day relaxing and watching the Masters. I also baked a blueberry cheesecake from scratch, just because I felt like it. Im fine being odd. It was a good day. Whichever personality had control today, it went well. : )

We didn't decrease our spending so a deficit was going to continue. Just switching where the COVID money goes instead would still be a deficit.

I've accepted both parties overspend. I'm just not saying Trumps bad while asking for stimulus

You should be.

A stimulus isn't going to affect me one way or the other, lol. I am not affected by the economy. Good or bad, I do the same. My investments are not tied to the market.

Unemployment doesn't affect me either. My family does not need to work anymore. If unemployment hits 20% because we cut spending during a pandemic, I won't miss a beat.

But it's not about me. It's about America and what's best for the long term health of the nation. Sadly, too many people think it is about them.

Your right, we didn't decrease spending. That is Trump's fault. It's the biggest disaster of his presidency. And now the pain starts. Bring it on, I'll be fine. I'm going to guess that an awful lot of Trump supporters are going to be feeling that pain though. Screw em. They voted for the guy. Maybe they'll learn the hard way, maybe not. Either way, I'll be enjoying my cheesecake. : )

Ironically, about 4 years ago a lot of poster's personalities were opposite of what they are now.

Lol. Won a lawsuit. I was compensated for damages done. Trust me, I'd rather go back in time and avoid all of it.

Before all that happened, I already owned 6 condos and a duplex. I earned that.

Keyboard warrior? That's what you seem like. I'm just a person having a conversation. I have no need to battle anyone.

Enjoy your evening.

Look at your post count in here. You have a opinion about everything. As far as stimulus. It should go to the people struggling, the small businesses getting controlled by our government. Not to the people already living off the system.

If a second lockdown is going to affect your social life then you’re probably the reason why the first lockdown didn’t work.

Or something like that.

Interesting.

Feeling betrayed by your government? Yeah, lotta that going around these days. Feeling like you're not getting the handout you deserve? Seems like a lot of that's out there too. Who is to blame? Me? Nancy? Donald? Mitch?

None of these problems are my fault, lol. I'm just an ugly old lady that spends too much time on the internet. Your hostility seems misplaced to me.

Maybe the next administration will hook you up. I'd guess they will. As for me, I don't care much either way.

To an extent. Speaking with my grandfather throughout this, he’s been struggling. He lost his wife 8 years ago, lost his partner 3 years ago, and has been unable to find a new steady companion since then. This has put a major dent in his dating career. He’s been bored and depressed since this all started. I imagine he’s not alone in that feeling. He’s one of the types who likes to go to the local museums, local restaurants, etc. The lockdowns and social restrictions aren’t only an impediment for the people who just wanna party. I think this has hit the elderly pretty hard in more ways than one.

The "election was rigged" takes aren't just about soothing Trump and MAGA world's egos over losing the election. They are also about one, keeping the base inflamed in GA for the senate runoffs, and two, to provide justification for the wave of burdensome restrictions they have coming to make voting more difficult.

Good for you. I guess.

Where did you say what?

I too am against lockdowns. I thought we were talking about stimulus, but if you'd like to discuss something else, I've got a half hour to kill before the Gators game. : )

Why do you seem hostile? Perhaps some prune juice might help?

And the same people wonder why Trump can't work with the dems. Just look at the nonsense that transpires in this thread.

Exactly. After this election the GOP in many of these states is going to enact new restrictions making it more difficult for certain groups to vote under the idea that this election was rigged or at the very least highly questionable.

There is a difference between thinking the election was rigged and thinking there is still a margin of error.

I have said from day one that trump did not win and the rigged election was bs. But to act like there is no problem with the current election system is silly.

I always find it funny the only time the left really cares about identifying is when purchasing guns. They usually are more lax with illegal immigration, voting, security etc.

Is there a reason for this theme? Why can we always make sure people are what they claim to be?

Of course there's a reason.

They're afraid of guns in the hands of nutjobs. Apparently they're not afraid of illegal immigrants, bogus votes, or security issues.

I didn't say it was a good reason, lol.

I feel that after every election the SOS and election officials should be analyzing and figuring out issues that arise. You definitely don't want to get complacent and just feel like everything is ok. And that can go both ways as well. You want to make sure you don't allow fraud but you also don't want to have policies in place that actually may cause valid votes to not be counted.

The crooked, corrupt Obama and the Democratic party. Is it any wonder why they went after Trump like they did??? Give this one a watch before it is removed.
