Thanks Steve, as I mentioned I've kind switched up how I've been going through the collection to speed it up on my end. I understand that it is going to create a "content" lull, but I hope that what I have to share soon has more quality to it and that it was worth the wait.

Yes, that is why I swtiched it up, haha. I have been just immediately sorting large stacks of base sets into boxes and separating inserts and such to take pictures of later. That way the huge mess i have created can be cleaned by this weekend and I will have a smaller number of boxes to take pictures of and share with you all.

I might be able to put together at least two sets of the Row 3s which is awesome, that way I can keep one, and sell the other(s)!

I will do that as I start sharing the better stuff within the next week. Thanks for commenting and following the thread, I appreciate it!

I have come across some, but other than base, RCs, and SP Base (double, triple, quad diamond) there wasn't much to speak of. Let me know if you are looking for something in particular!

These were the last two pics I took before I switched up my organizing process:

- A ton of 00-01 Heritage, UD, Stadium Club
- A spectacular amount of 01-02 and 06-07 Gold Medallions. It is a shame that the Kobes and Lebrons were removed because they would have been sweet sets to scan and keep.
-00-01 Stadium Club Capture the Action near set WITH Kobe, yay!

- A bunch more partial sets
- Some Random GU and Autos
- The coolest things in the group are the 00-01 Topps Stars inserts. They have rainbow foil finish, but they are prone to chipping like you read about!

Your inbox is too full to receive any more messages lol

So I’ll just post what I sent you here instead:

I found this forum while I was looking up some info on 90’s inserts. The first thread I clicked on was yours, and my gawd, I was BLOWN AWAY at what you were posting lol. I haven’t seen so many early 2000’s hoop cards in my life!! I still have all my early 90’s junk cards in boxes and albums. I don’t collect for value, strictly for personal gratitude. If at all possible, I would love to purchase some of the cards you are looking to get rid of.
I’ll send you a list of my PC players, and if you happens to have any you’d be willing to ship to AZ, I’ll take them. I know you’re probably flooded with messages, so I’ll wait patiently for a reply : )

Here is the only update I have for now, haha.

It is a card wall. I've sorted all of the basketball roughly. The boxes go like you would read a book from left to right, then to the next row. Earlier years on the left and later years toward the right. Now I am going to consolidate everything and take pictures of everything I don't want as I consolidate. Any group shots that I share will unfortunately have things that will not be for sale. This does not include some of the better stuff that I have pulled, which will be shared until the very end. Sorry to keep any curious parties waiting, but this is going on the third week and I am prioritizing getting rid of the things that I do not want as I don't need all of this sitting around collecting dust!

It's one thing to hear about all of these cards (and also have a very general sense of the quantity), and it's another to see all of the boxes. The breath that I drew after looking at that "wall"... was a slightly heavy one. Hat's off to you Hal for taking on this grind. I can't imagine the analysis paralysis I would experience in trying to process everything and make decisions on what to sell and how to sell it.

This thread is awesome. Lots of fun watching you sort through this collection. Keep up the good fight!

I'm sure you've got a ton going on, so not trying to press at all, but keep me in mind for any numbered Kings stuff. And I definitely see some other base Kings goodies in there I'd be interested in

Honest question for OP - do you regret this purchase? Even a little?

Thanks Steve! That is not even half of the boxes in the collection. I forgot that there were a bunch of other basketball boxes on shelves in a different part of my apartment, haha. Then there are all the other football, baseball and WNBA boxes as well.

There will be more updates coming, hopefully during this weekend. I hope to have better pictures so people can see if they need anything and maybe we can keep a running tally in the OP or something. I don’t know the most democratic way to do that though

Not sure how many times I’m going to address this and I’m not sure what your angle is. You seem to be so worried about me making money and if I regret it. I know I made a comment about trying to get rid of everything, but everyone reaches a point of being burned out. I mentioned it before and it certainly happens on a daily basis. That sentiment came from having gone through basically everything already, so their are no ‘surprises’ left for me, just sorting. No matter how much one likes cards you can get burned out and fatigued, but each new day I get excited to sort and do it all over again.

Also, I have consolidated this collection three times already to get it into the final sorting phase where I can sequentially sort everything and make sets and lots for auction. After I do that I will list the rest of the collection via BIN or auction.

If you don’t think it is worth my time, then just don’t look at the thread. Im sure you saw the other thread and know that two previous owners of the collection went in and removed everything of any significant value. I went into this knowing that as well. So do I regret it? Absolutely not. If you told me there was a similar collection for sale at the price point at which I bought this collection, would I buy it again? absolutely. I know people value their free time differently, but during plague times, I am able to work from home and do something I love to pass the time. I’ll PM you to let you know if I make any money of the collection and how much if I do. In the meantime, go post in one of the various hype threads that Blowout has to offer, you seem better suited for that.

I wondered about the last question as well. Not in a "gotcha" kinda way, but I've never bought a collection like this and it's been interesting to watch it all play out. Thanks for taking the time to post updates.

It is 100% a fair question, but the way it was asked was seemed condescending, regardless of how it was intended, but that’s on him, especially based on previous posts in the thread making it seem like “there wasn’t any fat left on the bone” and “what are your plans for the collection” and “do you regret this, even a little?” - I get it, you don’t see the value in it, move along. I sold a Giannis Galactic that I bought for $150 for $13,000. Pretty sure that covered this costs of this collection a few times over. I’ll be ok in the end, haha.
