I’ve spent a total of five minutes in this thread and on the website and found this for you. I bolded the important word.

When do new drops happen?

Pack drops happen once to twice a week on Mondays OR Thursdays

Nah, just wait until everyone cashes out (minus another Dapper fee of course), the money buying physical cards is going to be YUUUUUUGE!

I actually think NBA Top Shots will be HUGE for physical cards when it all inevitably comes crashing down. Bitcoin is finite, gold and silver is finite, Lebron/Jordan RC are finite. A weekly release of new gifs is akin to the US Dollar printing press. This is blockchain, yes. But it's not real scarcity. This is doomed if tens of thousands of gifs are released to the public each week. When supply goes up, demand goes down.

Whales are scooping up Lebron TC like candy- not this carp. Whales have money because they can see through scams like this. They didn't get rich by doing what everybody else did. The majority of people pumping this on Blowout have had an account less than a year. They were late to the card game, can't afford blue chips, so they see this as their way to get rich. And it ain't gonna happen. I feel bad for them.

These aren't cards. These are future bad decisions. And as such, they don't belong on the basketball card forum.

Definitely not, especially at his age. I am the one that pays for his worthless skins and in game purchases on Fortnight and for all the stuff he buys via Steam. It’s the guys that are a bit older that have a little more disposable income (and that also play around on Robinhood, Draft Kings, etc) but still communicate and get their news and info via Twitter, Instagram, TikTok etc.

The main point is that many people are used to sharing short clips and communicating every day via short moments, tweets, etc so this is simply something that appeals to that form of daily communication and way they interact with sports. TopShot has also integrated Discord really well into this so the social aspect has been huge for this and the marketing of it.

The irony in your words is amazing. If there is a direct correlation between this and CARDS, then this thread very much belongs in a card discussion forum. Do you not find it important to stay up to date and know when this inevitable crash looms near?

Trump checks, Biden being elected, Bitcoin, BLM, etc... Believe it or not, these things also affect the card market but they don't belong on the forum either.

Incredibly shortsighted, but I’ve had my fill of talking to a wall. Too late to change your name to KarenKarenKaren?

What's shortsighted? I'm looking longterm. How is a weekly release of tens of thousands of video clips gonna sustain prices?

Let’s just end this now. How about you go ask Houdini to remove his Funko pop vinyl post the other day because it’s not card related. See how that goes for you.

Literally any major political, civil, global unrest can affect prices of cards and food and etc.. But the bottom line is that none of these have to deal with cards and therefore doesnt belong on a card forum. Same thing with gifs. You can correlate it to cards all you want, but they are not cards.

To anyone who is “offended” by people partaking in this or discussing this, I urge to to give a five second thought to how this effects your life today. If it truly bothers you, there are people called Life Coaches that would love five minutes of your time.

Just looked at front page and saw nothing about funk pops. That thread died, and you know why? It had nothing to do with cards. I'm just gonna wish you good luck on your gif portfolio.

His first comment about this was he couldn't wait to see it fail and burn..imagine being so triggered about something that nobody is forcing you to read or participate in. I have no stake but I find this thread very interesting..if I didn't..I wouldn't click on it lol simple as that

Well considering you're not an admin and can't make those decisions yourself why not just ignore the thread if it makes you so angry..or create a NBA Top SHot doesn't belong on the Forums thread so you can go nuts and complain about it there?

It's like seeing people sell MLM stuff on your Facebook. Monat, thrive, ItWorks! All the boss babes. You should ignore them, but you can't help to take a moment and read the caption and see the emojis. You feel sorry for them, but at the same time you can't wait until they realize the road they've gone down and they start to shut the fukc up about it. Same with this crew of pumpers hawking a Trevor Ariza /9000 gif of a layup. The time will come. And I will bump this daily.

Why do you care so much? On this forum you can simply chose to not click on it...cant stand people who want people to fail..what a crappy attitude to have

How is a release of tens of thousands of Prizm cards gonna sustain prices? ... yet here we are.

I haven’t put a single cent into Top Shot and probably won’t, but they are Basketball collectibles and can be considered part of the hobby, so I think this belongs in this part of the Forum

Is it really true you can hang out with the Dapper Daddies on a program called Discord? Might have to get another laptop to run that, sounds pretty fun
