Ok thank you. At least good there are rookies in that chrome redux insert even if they're not exclusive. You had the rookies in the chrome turkey insert in last year's set I believe that were in the tins but not exclusive.

I was very skeptical about these wax prices but after paying $1250 for a jumbo case and getting no huge hits, I'm still heading towards around $1,800 in sales. It's a relief that singles prices are pacing sealed prices.

Only 2 cards worth showing. Also hit an orange non auto /25 Goldschmidt in the silver pack (not pictured)
Always love the "vintage stock" so nice to hit a decent guy

Surprised it was delivered today. One blaster and a hobby box.

Blaster had a Lux gold, LouBob '52 Chrome, and Aaron 70th patch.

Hobby box had a Meadows gold, Mazara Red Ice /199 (o/c) and a
Vlad Jr 1986 relic.

I think the blaster won.

My other hobby box is stuck in WV (Smartpost).

Stopped by the MLB Store while out and about and grabbed a couple. Not too bad, just would have been nice for a bigger name on the Independence Day.

The Independence Day and Gold were in the same blaster.

For those grading what level are you sending base rookies? Standard ($25) through a group sub with the hope they are back this season or bulk and accepting they won’t be back until next year?

Feels weird to pay $25 to grade a $5-10 card, but also unfortunate that the season hasn’t even started yet but it’s already too late to go bulk and get them back this season.

I just opened 24 hangers, I got from a Walmart.com order. I kinda went fast are sp backwards in hangers? Golds, and ice cards are not. I need to go through a lot of cards otherwise.

Agreed. I bought 2 hobby cases for $1275 each. Was hoping to get enough out of the first to justify stashing the second. I did get a big hit, but even without that, I think I'll be close to paying for both cases without opening the second.

opened 3 jumbos from my LCS on release day and got 3 pretty brutal autos (best was probably whit merrifield 1986 base auto). got my two hobby boxes from topps direct today and the two hits were ryan mountcastle 1986 autos, one base, one /199. definitely wasn't expecting anything other than a couple relics so very pleased with those (plus the pache SP!)

I have yet to sell a thing, but the prices of singles and inserts have been really good. I think it’s pretty easy to make most of your money back on this.

I should clarify I haven’t sold anything, but the value of what I’ve pulled has covered the cost of boxes.

Made my way into the (packed)LCS for supplies and grabbed 2 packs. Got 4 decent RCs including Mize and Patino and a HR Challenge card of Yordan. The script is too small but I tell ya, without the secondary racing stripes on the left side this would’ve made a just fine flagship design. Pretty close.

You might not see bulk til next Jan. I'd go this route and embrace the wait time in exchange for the lowest grading cost on players I'd expect to be relevant in a year.

Standard...I think you're lucky to see them back during the month of September. If the backlog pushes these til October, you may be missing the window, and now you've spent more.

Yeah, that’s where I’m at. Will probably send bulk and expect them back next year. I might slip a few into some standard orders with pcs I have going out in the near future.

With mid tier and up basketball/football express to be first to market makes a lot of sense. You get a gem Herbert prizm back you’re doing good. Doesn’t make much since with S1 considering most rookies are $5 cards.

I’ll sit back and hope the Tatis Robert and Lux I have coming back in the next couple months grade well. That’s right, I haven’t given up on Lux! Only because I’ve got quite a few of his prisms and refractors lol.

I opened 24 hangers got tons of rookies about 5-6 of the top rookies. Luis García i only got 1 weird. I got an auto and patch not bad for the price of a jumbo box. No rc or veterans in gold or foil.

I completed a set in a single jumbo. Not sure about hobby boxes, but I think people are getting pretty darn close.

Not even close to a master set though.
