I think that Edwards is going to be huge because of how limited it is going to be and it is going to be one of the most iconic moments of this season. You just have to decide if it's worth taking a chance on spending 9-10k right now and having the money tied up if you don't have it in Dapper Dollars. My worry would be what kind of value am I going to recoup when the challenge ends if I was going to keep the Edwards moment. If selling the moment I think you will definitely make money after selling off the moments needed to complete the challenge.

I think if that’s all you want you’d be best to try to snipe it when they all hit the market. There’s also in my mind much better things to do with your Dapper balance at the moment than tie it into that challenge. Personally I think the LeBron challenge moments are still only at about 40-50% where they should and probably will be in a week or two.

Another thing to keep in mind with these challenges. These things almost always run way above where they should be value wise because there is a gambling aspect to this that people love to chase. When you finish the challenge your reward gets a random serial number. That means theoretically you could end up getting a $20k+ card.

My advice to you (or anyone new) is to do a lot of reading on what your getting into. Yes getting a pack will lead to insane ROI right now. Buts it more important to know why that’s happening and why that could take a 180 in a week. A lot of different viewpoints so it more important than ever to form your own.

Doesn't seem to be a lot of faith in long term holds by most users.

Everyone (including myself) is trying to free up capital in order to complete these challenges. The writing is on the wall here. The seeing stars will be at least double and possibly three times as high as they currently are a couple weeks from now. After the challenge value peaks people will sell off and move their money back into S1 and higher value S2.

Wouldn't the smarter play be buying up all those underpriced S1 and S2 cards then instead of chasing overpriced cards to complete a challenge?

I know the challenge reward cards are big value, but with the money sunk into the cards needed to complete it, and knowing those values will plummet once the challenge is over...feels buying up older stuff would give you greater profits if you really believe that to be the case.

Correct but the challenge ends in 3 weeks. Your strategy is going to come into play about 2 weeks from now. The challenge moments are nowhere close to overpriced yet. Like I said they will all double and possibly triple from current values. Then you go back and can buy back your S1 moment and likely even buy another S1 moment with the profits.

Yeah I bought the Luka for $725, I've got it on the market for $950. Likely once I see them steadily crossing $800 I'll likely push it to $1200. I'm gonna see if I can turn Luka into a few rookies.

Takes some guesswork with where average market caps will be on everyone’s moments, but by the time the challenge rolls around I would expect $1800-2000 for the Luka alone.

I'd honestly be happy with $1,000 but that would be amazing!

Another thing to remember, aside from the CC Luka and earlier moments, this is the most affordable and probably the best Luka moment to own. The highlight they chose for his S2 is horrible and like others have said already this one has Zion in it aswell.

Apparently in the discord Roham hinted at a master gift challenge set. Wouldn't be a surprise with all the market downtime that they give everyone a gift pack, and then make it into a master gift challenge with the Rose from before

I used to think this. I’ve watched my Luka S1 buzzer beater go from $5k to sub $3k. I’m taking the L.

Some things to do when you can't buy packs:

1. Imagine being able to have an up to the minute tracking system for what your collection is worth? Boom here it is. https://evaluate.market/accountValuation

Bonus: That site bases it off of lowest ask so if you would like to see a valuation that includes serial number premiums check out https://momentranks.com/

2. Browse the marketplace looking for the next moment you are interested in. Will it be a moment that you are fond of, a 3 badge rookie or a 1st moment badge for a vet. Tons of choices and positives and negatives to all the different choices.

3. Check out the challenges available and decide if you think the value is worth trying to complete those.

Also remember this is in Beta. They have plans to release a mobile game that uses your moments and also plan to have packs readily available although they will be much lower EV packs.
