I'll be honest, I didnt know much about this kid until this past season & offseason. When I looked into him more, I really loved what I saw. I jumped on the train and bought a few BC Auto's. Excited to watch him play a full season.

This was pointed out to me by someone on twitter... Hayes only has 16 total bowman chrome 1sts graded by PSA and only 10 graded as Gem Mint. That seems nuts to me so I snagged on on StarStock for $80

No Orange, but I dug these out of my ‘15 Draft reserves in light of this thread

Minor league offensive stats are way below average. That is the reason for low pop counts. We will see how he is long term in the majors. My gut is telling me not well, but I am a pirate fan and hope he makes the team better.

No I think once his main topps rc comes out that will overtake a silver pack rc.

Any other instances where an insert rc remained the highest selling version of a flagship rc?

Not my card and I’m not winning this card currently- but Hayes is finally being recognized for the potential he has. Kid is a total stud! People getting in while he is still cheap and doesn’t yet have the NL ROY under his belt.

I would agree with you as that is the usual course. I was thinking of getting the silver pack RC auto and 70th anniversary auto but don’t think it will have the staying power long term.

Whoa! Kudos to everyone who knew how good he was gonna be..heard good things myself but after watching the game today, those prices seem justified & I completely missed the boat Lol. That kid looks as comfortable playing the game as it gets. Pirates did something right.

Hayes collection. Have only sold off 2 golds and traded a raw green for an 64 mantle and a 68 Clemente. even on the speculation as of now but not an updated photo. Ref and gold ref are at psa right now. Will probably be back at all star break if im lucky. Cant wait to get my hands on a SSP from series 2. Just hope they have him batting or gatorade or something. I know Blacks aren’t hobby darlings but its the Best looking of the bunch. Gold looks sharp as well.

If these lines happen routinely in April, you’re not looking at a base that a occasionally tops $300. We’re talking a $500 by May.

Long season, no Guarantee of course he wins the ROY. But let’s just thinking about it this way, some fools are throwing 1k at a single /499 Bobby Witt auto. And that guy as good as he could be isn’t starting the season with the big club.

I remember eyeing some of his BC BGS 9/9.5 auto’s mid winter but does anyone remember what his PSA auto’s were going for late fall through winter ? Just curious were they 3-400 ? Obviously wishing I’d bought one then Lol

Still can’t believe his values. As someone who had collected him hardcore since 2016 I love to see it.

Managed to get my hands on a full case of 15 draft and did a lil group break on my IG.

Pulled the Orange Hayes auto 1/25 and had to buy it back. Beautiful card.

He’s a stud. Had a great head on his shoulders and busts his tail.

Gold glove and silver slugger winner

So much fun to watch.
