Regardless of what you think about TS, I don't think that's the right analogy. It would be more like Elon and other employees have a bunch of Teslas and they are buying/selling those Teslas while telling people how awesome they are.

Could it be that they just love the product since they developed it? Of course.

Same here. I think the only hope for this to go positive in the short term is to get a decent serial # Westbrook reward. I'm thinking $100-150 for the reward otherwise.

In case anyone pays less attention than I do because I only just noticed - The Cools Cats challenge includes commons /35k of Steven Adams, Jerami Grant and Montrez Harrell so the prices are way inflated right now if you're inclined to sell.

Right now it's about $450 to complete the WB challenge.

I'm intrigued to see what WB comes out at. I think it's more a $200 moment. It's a lot better than the Conley and a better moment than Jokic.

Right now it is $340 to complete the challenge. After the challenge I think the 10 cards will hold a value about $150. The Chris Paul selling for $30 now is a good decent deal regardless of the challenge IMO. Depending on how many RW moments are minted, you might be able to come out even. No a bad challenge to complete right now. Probably the best opportunity so far.

Looking at the drop, the top tier names are missing, no Lebron, Luka, Zion, etc. Biggest names there are Fox and Barrett IMO. That said, I'm still going picking one up for sure.

The amount of moments you have to be holding is just going to go up each major pack release. It might be a bit manipulative but it also should stop people from liquidating their moments the first chance they get.

Also prevents user growth. A hard sell to new users if you have to spend X amount of money and hold X amount of moments just to have a small chance at a decent pack. No guarantee, just a chance. I’ve still yet to win the random on anything after almost two months.

The base packs are meant to be an introduction to topshot and then ideally you would enjoy that and buy some moments and become a collector. 15 moments and $99 spent is a pretty low bar for an interested collector. All new users need to get a base pack for sure but I have no issue with these restrictions for higher end packs.

The $99 spent on the marketplace is actually a pretty big addition compared to legendary because it eliminates people that aren't actually using the marketplace.

Well I guess they are succeeding at making this product as niche as possible. They are turning away a lot of new users with these restrictions. Like it or not, you need flipper money to grow anything in the collectible market. I’m out for now but will probably check it out next year if they implement a fantasy game.

They really aren't focusing on growth right now, they still need to catch up with withdraws and KYC so that every new user can have a much better experience. When they are ready to market they will have base packs available and give new users plenty of time to grow their collection before releasing packs with restrictions.
