You don't get that some people didn't want to spend $750?

At the end of the day the product is still the same and the price per pack of product is still the same.

Now if you think this draft class isn’t on par with previous two years draft classes and that’s the reason you’re not buying at the $15 per pack rate, then I totally understand what you are saying but that’s not really what I see in these posts. If you’re arguing that you don’t like that you’re basically forced to buy two boxes of it that’s one thing but it seems everyone is arguing about the price which is no different than years past.

I think people are more annoyed they are only giving you the option to purchase two full boxes. In the previous releases, you could buy individual packs. It's also irritating that they apparently made 24-pack boxes but only released this (so far).

$600 MC, $750 forced buy-in to get 1st packs, completely forgetting about the people that just want to open a few packs instead of a box as in years past.

Good start to the new product season for Topps. Really hopeful moving forward.

As if this is anything new from Topps? Not caring at all about their customers? NO not Topps

The pricing per pack is fine. I would have gladly bought 10-15 packs. The 50 pack allotment is either geared toward breakers or bots, or both. That is not how you price a product for collectors.

Yeah, i agree with big bob here - 15 per pack is fine but forcing us to buy in 50 pack allotments is Regretta Garbo

Forcing people to have to take the time to do a bunch of stuff they don't want to do, so they can do something they want to do isn't an argument many will agree with.

I hear ya....not arguing, just suggesting. If you already have an EB account, etc., it's pretty easy and takes little time. Plus, you'll probably make a few dollars. Either way....hope everyone in this MC thread has a nice Thanksgiving!

same price per pack as last year, thrilled i was able to get a box and they stayed up on the website long enough for non bots to grab some. Would I have preferred to buy two 24 pack boxes, yes definitely, but perhaps this reduced the amount of flippers and bots. Pretty sure it did.

Anything, including price increases, that reduces the number of flippers, is a win in my book!!!!!

time will tell whether this draft class is any good. $15 a pack may end up being really expensive or really cheap.

Was considering being in for an old style box but I'm struggling to see the value in this vs. waiting for regular edition draft boxes with a full complement of autos.

Oh, not arguing either. I have an EB account, myself. Selling on there is no big deal for me, but for others, though, it's something they have zero desire to do. It just really looks like Topps is catering to breakers, botters, and retailers now. If you're a collector, or just someone who wants to rip for fun, this sealed wax part of the hobby ain't for you right now.

Well, we'll certainly find out in the coming weeks based on how many sellers on ebay are selling multiple boxes and how many breakers are offering 50 pack box breaks.

The same flippers and bots that clear out overpriced Panini releases.....I don't think so...

Been that way for awhile now unfortunately... the last time there was any "real" value in sealed wax was 2019 IMO. 2020 things jumped and 2021 they jumped even more without any value being added and print runs increasing for just about every Topps product (additional parallels added, more autos, etc).

Agreed.

Topps is going to put the hookers in Times Square to shame.

While not 2022, I tend to se draft as the kick off to the 2022 season. For at least the first one they kept the print runs the same...

2020 Bowman Draft print run ~ 210000 packs
2021 Bowman Draft print run ~ 209400 packs

BTW, if anyone bought a box and is willing to sell me just 1 pack let me know. I've been putting together a collection of single unopened packs of Bowman 1st editions.

The 50 pack lots might not be shipped in a sealed box.

These could end up being 50 loose packs.

Ya that’s what Houdini was alluding to on Twitter, since boxes seem to only be 24 packs.

50 loose packs would be the worst.

Why not sell it as 50 “packs” instead of a 50 pack box if that was the case?

Really strange on this one. The 'box' listing has me confused. Is it 50 packs thrown in a box or 2 sealed boxes with 2 added packs or a sealed 50 pack box? Can't wait to see what everyone gets for this. 6 lots of 8 rubbered-banded packs with an additional 2 packs thrown in the box.
