I'm kind of surprised Oliveira isn't getting a ton of hobby love. I just saw he holds quite a few records in the UFC in terms of finishes, submissions, and performance of the night awards. Just shows that win/loss record doesn't always translate into hobby love.

I was just happening to go through some of my old UFC cards last week and found a few nice Peña cards I set aside just in case she won. I posted them on eBay this morning and even I’m surprised how well they’re doing.

I just hope the buyers don’t balk on me. One thing seems sketchy to me with one bidder having private feedback

He's a very marmite kinda guy. You either love him, or really get annoyed by him.

Just another guy that will lose the belt in a few matches.
Those records are nothing to get excited about.

He's already had so many losses to average fighters.

The hobby doesn't even care about more popular/better fighters than him. He can't even speak English.

Poirier vs. Chandler is the one to book next. Let DP KO him outta the UFC with 3 Ls in a row.

He was doing it to mostly prelim guys before Tony. And he was very inconsistent. His prices were apropos.

Not sure now though. Chucky Olives has really become something else.

Definitely glad that Pena is getting some love.

I was having some casual conversations about the fight on facebook, and some people seem to think she came out of nowhere...I'm like, dude! She's a legend who's been around for awhile (just 1 year younger than Nunes). The first Ultimate Fighter women's champ - basically missed an entire year after that due to a horrific knee injury, but still came back strong.

That being said, I'll probably try to move her low-end stuff before this rematch. My prediction is that Nunes takes her belt back and rides off into the sunset as double champ.

Julianna Peña wouldn’t even consider herself a legend before the Nunes fight.

Wrong - listen to the legend spit some facts:

She's definitely aware of her place in history. Also, being the first women's Ultimate Fighter Champ makes her canon. I honestly like how she called her shots here; pretty epic.

Edit: She took 2018 off to have a kid, as well. Life happens.

She was in no way a legend before she beat Nunes. And the season of TUF that she won was one of the weakest seasons ever. The girl she beat in the Final has a record of 1-5, 1 NC lol.

Is this supposed to insinuate I’m a Colby fan? He’s a hell of a fighter but Chael Sonnen did his schtick better.

Hold up...I'm just now remembering something.

Weren't you the person who tried to use Amanda Nunes as a way to prop up Miesha Tate? I'm almost positive that was you...

Edit:

Yep

Dude, make up your mind!

Dude, make up your mind!
When did I say Nunes wasn’t great? Mike Tyson was a great fighter as well yet also quit when things weren’t quite going his way just like Nunes does.

So you think Peña was a “legend” before she fought Nunes because that is literally all I was rebutting.

When has he ever fought anyone remotely on the level of Till or Maia? You really think he’d submit Demian Maia? Now that’s hilarious.

Maia is 44 years old and no longer on the UFC roster.

You were also very, very wrong about Oliveira:

He did way more than sniff a title...

Also, do you just call every fighter a "front runner" if they have early finishes? And they're "quitters" if they've ever been submitted?

You just regurgitated the same brain-dead insult as if people can't read and remember.

But Maia was on the roster when Chimaev made those comments so I fail to see your point about him not being on the roster now. He knows good and well he nor anybody else is going to submit Demian Maia. It was just a clickbait clout chasing comment that yes I found annoying.

I’ll readily admit I was wrong on Do Bronx but my “brain dead insult” was a sentiment shared by many people not just me because believe it or not he has quit in numerous fights like when he fought Holloway and Swanson.

Nah, I’m done man - too much back and forth about a bunch of nonsense.

Here’s a quick final tip though: the next fight night is coming up on Saturday, and Derrick Lewis is on the main card. Go ahead and sneak into the Zion thread now and steal some fat shaming memes ahead of time

Derrick Lewis has been one of my favorite fighters/people in MMA since he knocked out Jared Rosholt back in the day. With that being said I have a bad feeling about this weekend as I think Daukaus is legit. Here’s hoping he’s not!!!

Julianna Pena was never a legend before the Nunes fight.

She was pretty good but she was never ever a legend.

She probably is now but NOT before
