Nube bowman question , if 21 best has No RC logo , then how is it different than 21 bowman mega Franco base ? Is it because mega is understood a prospect brand , but best is only vet and rookies ?

I understand where this is coming from but I disagree. I guess I would be considered a part of the pre-2006 faction but I did appreciate the RC logo. Not that it was bible or anything but it did keep the hobby from instances like 92 Bowman, which was admittedly fun at the time, that gave us an iconic RC of a HOFer wearing the same outfit I wore to a 6th grade dance. While the RC logo had some misses it mostly helped divide out prospect cards AND allow bowman 1st to become a second market. This BB issue will have a long story, past the debut of these 30 players, for as long as there are collectors with RC standards (and Beckett with the same standards) this set will have an intriguing story. I do not think anyone WANTED this to happen but there are a lot of people who knew the logo wasn't the end-all, be-all definition for a hobby with traditions that far pre-date it, it just happened to be a population of collectors that will simply not buy whatever is told to us by Topps, MLB, or MLBPA

I can’t wait to hear how dealers will explain his 22 cards with RC aren’t actually rookies to buyers at shows. Maybe a sticker that says “not a RC” or “second year card but still nice”
