The one factory that sports cards does not have is the kids love pokemon just to love pokemon, nothing to do with making money. Probably the scalpers that hoarding will be the ones effected the most. Who knows with this pokemon sector.

Hence why I like Pokémon as an investment. As kids grow up, they want the investment type cards. I was gonna start putting money into MTG since that’s what I liked as a kid but I have no idea if it’s popular with kids. Same with Metazoo. That just seem like a product that everyone is hoarding sealed. The few card stores around me don’t even carry it since they said nobody has any interest in playing it so there’s no money to be made with it in terms of Friday night Magic type events.

I got a package from Amazon today and it is very close to the size of that Pokemon case with GI Joe cards. Wish Steve Hart was still wrapping them, I really think there is a chance this Amazon box has first edition Pokemon sealed boxes in it. Just need that BBCE wrap to make millions.

Thanks for posting. His comment about the BBCE lady that started crying after opening the case...yikes. And their theory BBCE may have been in on the scam. Seems fairly unlikely considering the risk to their business.

Yeah I can't see it. I think he just made a mistake and provided authentication for something he wasn't knowledgeable enough about.

Rattle Pokemon said BBCE got a Harley after authentication. Also, he dug into his court record from DWI to hit and run. Rattle Pokemon got at least couple thousand new subscribers within the week.

I've watched Logan's video a few times now. . .

Prior to filming I think everyone came to an agreement that the case was likely fake. I can't imagine a more flat reaction to that outcome than what was shown on that video.

Like, you just burnt 3.5 million based off an SME's authentication, and that SME is in the room. You wouldn't have questions, or at the very least, an immediate human reaction of WTF? Also, you wouldn't look at your associates who clearly know 0 about the hobby and have some serious questions?

Not sure, this is easily a situation where a kickback can arise. I think it's likely it was just an unprofessional job to take advantage of the publicity, but it's not out of the question that it was more nefarious. Particularly if they believed the case would never be opened... and it only was opened because of the negative light that was shone on it from external sources.

The Harley is circumstantial... but there is a whooooleee lot of "circumstantial" in this whole thing.

Just like LP said in the video, if it wasn't a scam, then why didn't they just come to him with the case. Knowing what a huge fan he is and what he pays for Pokemon.

He then went on to say, Because they knew he would open it. And once its open, the scam is over.

If Dingus 1 and 2 100% thought the case was legit, why didn't they sell it to Logan for a MIL more? Instead, they hard sold it to a guy who was new to Pokemon. And they even tried convincing him to leave it sealed on a shelf for years, before he flipped it. They never wanted the case opened.

So, I think you are spot on. Logan clearly had reservations about the case, he said so himself. And that is why he deadpanned his reaction when it was finally open. It just confirmed what 99% of him figured already.

Because Logan knew he was protected (shyne already promised him his money back if fake), and Logan was more disappointed than anything. It’s also a heavily edited video, so who knows what the actual interaction was.

The mention of a documentary is intriguing. Can definitely see it happening since the whole "journey" of the case has been so well documented. If they (FBI or public / private investigators) can figure to the origin of the case, then everything for a great documentary is there.

This story may have a lot longer shelf life than expected for all involved....
