Another purchase of FB trigger at 210 (40 shares).

Couple more purchases and I'll be more Meta than I am Jokic. 40 more shares ready to go at 200 if we see it, which I'm sure we will.

I think close to 185 is the number on FB. We shall see.

I like Black Rifle Coffee so bought their spac at around $10. Was surprised to see it skyrocket to $22, got my initial investment out plus some and letting the rest sit for now.

If anyone is still in DKNG it's time to get out. This thing is an absolute disaster as a public company.

Supposedly they will be EBITDA positive Q4 2023 but I don't buy it. The more they scale the more money they lose.

With so much saturation in the gambling space I just don't see how they could ever possibly become a profitable company

Bought 350 shares at 12.75 - just sold all at $20. Weary of holding non LT positions after missing some chances to sell on upside swings back in the fall and those positions now being in big losses.

I did very well with DKNG; jumped in at 32 and jumped out at around 53 a while ago.

From what I've read, Hard Rock is planning 2-3 casinos in the NJ/NY region. This will probably hurt DK (and other online casinos) if this goes through.

Always was, though.

I do not blame you, I do not mind retaining a smaller stake after getting my initial out and profit. If it swings back up and hits $25 I am all the way out.

I Have purposefully been sitting on the sidelines of this thread of late.

Forget EBITDA. Just forget it with DKNG. What SHOULD have caught your mind with this report is this.

Revenue was $473m (from $322m).
Net loss was $326m (from $242m).

For every dollar in sales, they lose .70. The model is broken. They lost .75 on every dollar in sales last year. Trimming the loss by a Nickle isn't proof of concept.

Saturation is a problem, kinda. The bigger problem is the kicker they have been having to pay states to become exclusive. So I live in NH. 50% of all profit for NH bets gets kicked back to the state. NH is tiny in the grand scope of things. I would imagine that number to be much greater in states that actually matter where there is more competition.

All of that is just yuck…

I’ve actually been taking this time to really do a deep dive into some different companies to find gems.

Firstly, Google had a blowout ER, absolutely amazing numbers and announced a split. My goal was to get 5 shares before July and I’ve been able to trim some other positions to do it. Great time to buy.

I also opened a short position on CVNA. I know it’s already down a ton but their model has headwinds from all angles this year and the stock will suffer.

Something to check out as a 5yr play would be the silicon carbide industry. Specifically ON and WOLF. They both have their own niche of SiC wafers.

With the electrification of everything there will be massive demand for high voltage devices such as inverters (for solar) and automotive plus many more applications. Worth a look at those 2.

I’ve kept adding SQ. I think it will weather the storm.
