So after 15+ years, today I realized that this card is a parallel. I always thought it was an insert...never noticing that the card number (#92) is the same as the base rookie - making it a parallel, right?

Oh boy...full FLEX to start off a Monday morning. I have never been a fan of the buybacks until the Ovi YG's buyback. That card is a beast.

Unfortunate about the Cup rookie. I think we all have had some cards go through our hands that we might want back. But you sure cannot be unhappy with what you have...congrats on putting that collection together! It sure is nice to see all of those amazing cards together.

That is a really cool display. I remember the anticipation leading up to that game. The Caps tried to claw their way back from that huge first period deficit, but just could not quite do it.

Likely put this up for sale soon. Anyone who thinks putting a pic with Putin up as their avatar while maternity hospitals are bombed needs serious counseling. The Capitals prohibiting Ukraine flags in the arena is a disgrace to the NHL.

Yes the Caps changed after media pressure and the night in question security had specific instructions not to allow Ukraine flags in the building.

The Washington Capitals organization is a tenant of Capital One Arena.
Capital One Arena has allowed national flags at events.


Capitol One Arena contracts with Contemporary Services Corporation (CSC) for crowd management and event security. It is my understanding that CSC provided their staff with guidelines that were in direct conflict with rules/guidelines set forth by Capitol One Arena and the Washington Capitals. The arena issued a statement to clarify its guidelines after the single incident was reported.
Personally, I have seen plenty of flags at Capitals games. I have also seen others enter the arena with flags of Ukraine without incident (as long as they were within the guidelines).

Ovi & Nicklas Backstrom recently played their 1,000th game together. Backstrom registered his 1,000th career point last night. Since 2007-08, only 4 players have more points than Nicklas Backstrom: Ovechkin (1,192), Crosby (1,159), Kane (1,152), and Malkin (1,043).
