He is 23 years old. Some guys that just got drafted in the last 2 years are older than him. You can't possibly believe what you wrote.

I got very impatient and did not pay $35, in fact I way overpaid...but I finally have one now. Such is the collecting life.

Blake Griffin won rookie of the year at the age of 22. He single-handedly put Panini basketball on the map. So yes, I 100% believe what I wrote. |

I know you are trolling and everyone is down on Tatis right now (his card values have really gone down) and you may even be right. But your opinion seems a little premature. Tatis is 23 and in 130 games with a bad shoulder led the NL in fWAR (beter fWAR than even Soto). The biggest knock on Tatis is he is immature and the wrist injury is due to poor decision making. But if Tatis comes back healthy he is the most exciting player (did not say best) in the game and is extremely popular. Popularity drives card values just as much as performance (ie. Griffey Jr., Jeter). Am I disappointed in Tatis...yes. Was I expecting a big year this year before the wrist injury...yes. But I still believe in Tatis (still buying his cards) and I think his best years are in front of him including future MVP's. Just my two cents.

Those two examples you provided either won multiple WS or became one of the top 3 polarizing players of all time. Tatis still hasn't played a full season healthy. . . Just saying lets pump the breaks and see if he's Nomar - Troy Tulo, or a legit elite talent that will stay healthy long enough to put a HoF resume together.

I think the market has corrected a bit for his prices for that very reason - he still hasn't proven he can play a full season healthy and investors have found safer players to put their money in. His card price trajectories are still to be determined and obviously a better buy-in currently compared to last spring. |

If Tatis had been healthy and hitting bombs and supporting his prices, I would definitely be an advocate. But what I see is a player whose cards are a riskier investment than others out there for the previous stated reasons. And I'VE BEEN RIGHT since last spring. That is a FACT. I've advised non-pumpers to be wary about paying the moon prices since last year, and if people had listened to my advice on how i've gauged his card prices, they could have over doubled their purchasing power since last year. You can get 2 2016 chrome psa 10 autos for the price of 1 now. You can get 4 2019 topps 410 psa 10's for the price of 1 now. (Dang, I just checked and they are down to $80!?!?!? from $320?) That's not trolling, that's smart buying. It's not blindless pumping like several on here. Last edited by hermanotarjeta; 05-06-2022 at 02:24 PM. |

Even with the injuries Tatis is on a HOF path (adjusted for age) based on his fWAR. If you are a Tatis fan/believer/collector...the buying opportunities will always be during times of injury and the off season. Hence, when I see a good deal I continue to buy. |

All it’ll take is his first bomb and that stutter around third then everyone will be back on the bandwagon
