Lol what? He's on pace for 5 WAR and might win a gold glove. He's the best player on their team. Or by disappointment you mean because his card prices went down? It was super obvious that would happen as his bat is average. Had many arguments in the Hayes thread last year trying to explain that $200+ for a BC Auto was an absolutely terrible buy for a 24 year old with average offensive skills. There was one big pumper in there that was talking Hayes up for ages leading up to selling his Super, wonder what happened to that guy

His Heritage image variation in a PSA 9 just ended at $255. You can get a raw for $60. That's nuts.

Fangraphs still has him as a 55/60 hit tool, which is above avg to well above avg. His raw power is at a 50 [mlb average].

This was such an obvious buy it was almost too obvious. Can't believe I wasn't loading up over the last month. And I was so distracted by the Suwinksi 3 hr game that I spaced out and didn't buy any more Cruz when he got called up. (Who gets called up on a sunday right after a game...?)

It it wasn't for me getting burned 20 years ago the last time an NBA small forward sized shortstop got me excited id have some stuff. The ghost of Irvin (Joel) Guzman and all those damned 01 retrofractors looms large in my psyche.

Haha, it ain't much! - I used to be about 50/50 baseball/hoop but the last few years have been more like 70/15/15 Hoop/baseball/other.
Pretty sure the 5 BC Autos [4 Refractor, 1 Purple] I have of him were bought in 2017 or 2018. |
