I think this product is a fun rip but that’s about it #PostYourDuds

Cracked all 8, I love the way this set feels in hand and looks TBH but the hits are scarce with Megas. Tons of Golds and Silvers but nothing crazy.

My first box, second pack though I pulled this and it pretty much made up for everything, I might even grade it.

I opened several as impulse in store buys and it is rough - very few hits plus large checklist. With the hobby prices dropping there’s not much sense in ripping megas. But that crespo is a beauty!

Yeah honestly the Crespo was the saver but right megas to hit something is nuts. I got a Genesis for one of the rookies but nothing crazy.

I love mosaic, I wonder if the Hobby's are any better.. I'm thinking I can grab one for around 150.

Seeing the posts earlier, I bought a case for $1300 in the spirit of science. (Note a case went last night for $1122, so apparently still a little more room to drop).

I can't complain at all .. hit a CR7 redemption in box 1, so the rest was pretty much gravy. That said, some commments:
- The autos are pretty good but only the vets. As near as I can tell there are only 4 rookie autos in the product (Martinelli, Marc Guehi, Ki-Jana Hoover, Joe Rodon) and of those .. Martinelli and maybe Guehi (if he ever gets called back to England after the Hungary debacle) are the least exciting. In addition to CR7 I pulled Kane, Drogba and Gianlucca Vialli which was cool (although being an Arsenal fan not my favorite players). 1 gold auto was .. Ben Mees.
- 1 #'d parallel per box against a 200 card checklist is just brutal. Out of 12 boxes I pulled only two rookies - David Raya and Joe Rodon. Easily the best parallel was a DeBruyne Gold /10. Of the other #'d parallels most weren't even of the "top loader" variety
- I like the rookies in this set - personally I think guys like Broja, Jacob Ramsey, Olise, etc are under the radar but big potential. Given the sheer # of non-numbered parallels you get, you of course get a decent mix of rookies
- Only other complaint is that the sorting of the non-number parallels seems a bit lazy - generally if you get one player, you get him across multiple colors. Which is great if you get a good one, but how many colors of Dendoncker (sp?) do you really want?
- Stained Glass was Martin Odegaard which as an Arsenal fan pretty cool - but that Stained Glass list is way long and undistinguished. 50 cards, of whom I would generously want 15 of as a case hit? That plus 1 parallel per box tells how many cases of this were produced ... aka a lot
- oh, and lastly, the insert sets are terrible. Not so much in design but awful players in them.

Was it fun? sure, but I was on easy street after 1 box (had both CR7 & Odegaard Stained Glass). Would I do it again even at the $1122 price? nope. Without the CR7 I'd guess I got $500-700 worth of cards and no way you get that lucky twice.

Broja has been on the radar so long, he's since fallen back off of it, Ramsey is one of the most exciting young players in the whole of the UK and has two full seasons in the Premier League under his belt and Olise has been well known for a couple of years now, I wouldn't describe any of them as under the radar tbf.

edited to add- there aren't any sleeper RC's in this set, that's one of the reasons it's so painfully average.

I honestly enjoyed doing Chronicles last night more. Granted Mosaic is always fun in soccer or football but I wish the set was better this year. Feels like it fell short like prizm.

Looking forward to more stuff coming out soon AND WC stuff.

I have four like boxes of Topps UCL coming Monday, looks like a good rip.

Opened a box, not too impressed with this set overall. Was hoping for more parallels. Best card I pulled was a Deco auto. As stated rookies were kind of underwhelming.

Grabbed two Megas that I happened upon at Target. Almost walked them back after I scanned at the register and saw they were $60/piece. Ripped one of them but likely returning the other. What an unnecessary product. I also just don't love the look of the Mosaics and the insert-heavy checklist, might just be me.

Nah it's not you. I don't get the hype about Mosaic either, though some people insist that it looks stunning. Each to their own I guess. IMO the base is ugly AF and the inserts are garish.

I've always found that Mosaic is one of, if not the worst for surface issues, no idea why, but I notice lines, dimples and flaws more on this than anything else.
